sorry kids, correction on the danny howells statment:
In a recent interview, Danny clarified that his mix CDs are put together live. A pair of decks and a DJM600. He did say that if a specific transition would not go as clean or smooth as he wanted, he went back and re-recorded the specific mix. At the end, he could use a cut/paste/copy program such as SoundForge to put everything together as though he mixed the CD is one pass perfectly. But as you know, he might have done five tries to mix track 3 with track 4.
still though. . .if i'm paying $20 for a compilation, i'd feel it were much more worth it if it were mixed live. . .
