Ice on NYE

Hey guys,
Thanks for the suggestions in the earlier post. Based on your advice, I've narrowed my choices down to Ice, ClubRio, and Tangerine.

Of those three, which is the best deal?

I notice Ice offers open bar from 9-12, is that worth it? Or will it be impossible to actually get a drink during those hours?

As far as the crowd goes, how would you rank the three clubs in terms of girl- to-guy ratio, laid-back clientale, and age (i.e. is it an early to mid 20s crowd)?

Why is Ice so much cheaper than the other clubs, even though it's serving an open bar? Will this place even be busy since it's off the strip?

Of the Ice and Tangerine would be my two picks. Ice I belive the tickets are at $125 if I am not mistaken. The open bar is going to be sick and may be a bit hard to get a drink, but after a few drinks you may have drank back your cover.

This is what I recommend when it's an open bar, you're still supposed to tip when it is an open bar, tip the guy $20 in the beginning of the night for your first drink, then the next time you come up he'll remember you. Even if you're standing in the second row behind the bar, he'll see you and get to you quick. One you feel you have ordered enough drinks from the first initial $20. just tip him per round again, or in this case since it's open bar only until 12, you'll go back to regular tipping anyhow. Tipping once in the beginning is good enough and helps you get your drinks quick. Okay enough for my tipping etiquette.

I think both clubs has a good guy/girl ratio, but Tangerine has more of the drunk chick atmosphere than Ice does. Ice, as I always say is a clubber's club. People go there to dance, period. Ice gets a good crowd mainly on Sat. Due to it being off the Strip, on Sat when it has a special guest dj is the only time it really draws a crowd.

Okay, so Ice usually draws a crowd on Saturday, but since NYE is on a Friday, will it still be packed? Also, i forgot to ask this, does Ice play hip-hop?

Yes expect an insanelty crowded night for NYE. Donald Glaude never dissapoints when it comes to the crowd he brings in. Yes they have hip-hop. They have to rooms the main room and the lounge. Hip-Hop is in the lounge.
