Club Reviews

I was surfing the internet at work, and I came across this Las Vegas club review site: www.VIPHotlist.com. It looks like they cover every nightclub in town, but tear into quite a few Vegas clubs. Are the reviews on this site trustworthy/accurate, or are they like the ones on www.Vegas.com?

Can any Vegas nightlife veterans help me out with this one?

Before i even read this post, if you want accurate reviews, check out Bill le updated review by himself and tourist and locals that go to the clubs. Then check out The Blueprint: I went for a month specifically to find out what clubs are the busiest. It's too hard for a tourist to grade a club based on one or two visits. You need to be there during down time, up time, holidays ect... to get a real view but i'll check out this post.

Thanks MrVegas! This site had longer, more-in-depth reviews than the ones posted in the sticky at the top of the Vegas thread, and more places reviewed, so I was just curious if it is/isn't a good resource for people (like me) who don't know their way around Vegas really well.

I read a few of them for the most part the reviews are ok, I thought the about light was way off, i thought they were too easy on rain but thats just my opinion. The one on Bikini's was dead on! I think they were too harsh on the way people look and assume that everyone is looking for "the scene" sometimes people just want to go dance. With that said they are fairly accurate and worth reading.

I'm actually very impressed with most of the reviews. It seems like a very good resource and not biased, which is a refreshing angle.

I just spent the last hour or so looking at that whole site!

Not only is it unbelievably accurate (not perfect, but definitely a big improvement over the usual Vegas website that still advertises passes to Baby's), but it is also HYSTERICAL in certain spots.

Definitely read through the site - a great source of facts and entertainment.

Me, too alot of good info and breakdowns. They got ignorant on some clubs lol. i think when they say that there are not good looking at one place or another is false you can look at pictures from anyclub and there will be good looking people. Obviously some places more than others.

Curious though, why do you go so far out of your way to hide your identity? Even your network solutions whois is protected by privacy registration.

All in all an awesome site that will get a lot of respect around these parts. I even used two of your pages to discuss issues with management at OPM - they even quoted one of your pages in the employee meeting -- so props again.

And FYI, OPM does not serve food at all (unlike when it first opened) and does not have afterparties anymore - however the regular party still goes until about 6am on the weekends.

And Ra is only a hip-hop club on Thursdays. Their other nights are mixed with either rock (Fridays) and dance/house (Saturdays) and all electronic (Wednesdays).
