Weekend in Vegas review 4/9

Got to Vegas around noon on Friday. Went straight to Mandalay Pool and hung out there till 6 pm. Great scene. Ladies everywhere and the weather was nice and sunny. 6 pm went to the casino for a tad and won about $400 playing craps. Friday night tried to go to Pure but had a late start. Line was ridiculous. Waited 20 minutes and decided to bag it and go to Body English. Got there and Greg and Todd the doormen (friends from my home town) hooked us up right away. Liked the place but can't stand hip hop. Great crowd, good vibe. Decided to leave there and go to Drai's which was another cluster fawk line. Didn't end up waiting in line too long. I was a little aggravated so we left. Gambled a little and went to Club Rubber in which we were supposed to be on the list. Weren't on the list so we purged $20 a peice to get in. PLACE SUCKED! Felt like I was at an eighth grade dance. Girls were horrible and the music was AWFUL. Would never go back there. Left there and went to the casino at Mandalay Bay till 8 AM. Man, it was cold as hell outside that night. Saturday night went to ICE. That place is absolutely sweet. Never saw Mark Farina before and let me tell you he just KILLED IT. He was awesome. Loved the cryogenix. The best set I heard at WMC this year Roger Sanchez on the Space terrace. This set topped that one. Mixing was tight, track selection was superb. As for the VIP bouncers at ICE...they were so nice and helpful. Only bitch of the night was our bill. Two bottles for 1K. Are you fawking kidding? That seems a little ridiculous. Besides the bill, was my best night in Vegas ever. I couldn't script in any better. The only thing I would change about my trip was getting to Pure earlier and a tad bit warmer.

Can't wait to go back.

I was emailed a bottle list from Ice and there were much cheaper bottles, starting arounf $275- did you just get something more expensive or was it jacked up because of Farina? How did you book your table- through Ice or someone else? Do you think a table was essential? There's 10 in my group and I have a feeling we'll need a table because there's so many of us. Not sure though that we'll be drinking 1 bottle/4 people...some of us don't drink that much...wondering if we do two bottles for 8, can we get the other 2 up to our table...

8th grade dance line was just a joke. Actually, the music is what stunk the most. Old, bad hip hop like Funky Cool Medina and shit. Plus there were hardly any people in there. From who was there it wasn't a good crowd.

I think a table was essential. We had a prime time spot right on the dance floor. Great location. The bill and VIP arrangements were handled thru my friend. I believe the guys name at ICE was Brian. I can find out for you if you want. PM me and I will look for his number. As for the bottle prices, my friend ordered the booze. I think he ordered top shelf vodka which was $370 a bottle. ?? Then I assume they got a nice tip already added in. I was just told the bill was 1K which came out to 200 a person. I bet you will have a 3 bottle minimum at least for 10 people.

Yeah Rubber was crappy that night!! I was there didn't get there until 3:30 or 4:00 but I was highly disappointed!! I usually go there for there afterhours that start at 3:00 but at 4:00 they were still doing hip hop blocks!! Around 4:30 the music got better but I was still going crazy!

By they way I was at Rubber.. and I am a little hottie!! You must have missed me!! lol

I probably would have stayed longer but was dragging. I am used to Eastern Time Zone. Thus, it was 7 to 8 AM my time. You must have been the only hottie then.

When are you coming back to Vegas? You should give Rubber another try but go on Saturday night!!

Not sure when my next trip will be to Vegas. My buddy is coming out mid May but I doubt I will go with him. I need to save some funds first. I tell you, South Beach for Winter Music Conference and this trip hurt the funds.

But when I do come, I will let you know. Another note, if you haven't gone to WMC, it is a MUST!!!! Every March in Miami. NUTS especially if you like house music.

I'm upset that the last 10 people I put on the list have not showed or got there, forgot they were on the list and walked away cuz the line was too long. If I put you on the list just walk up to the podium by the door or tell the host or guard you are on the list and here to see me, Jenn. I give up.....no more asking me for shit.
