Whoever put together the choices for "best resident DJ" royally fucked up by not including Faarsheed on that list. The guy holds down two of the biggest residencies in town, and is unquestionably one of Las Vegas' best DJs.

I personally think this "Best local RESIDENT DJ" is just another popularity contest. When it comes down to actually DJing skills, they forgot a lot of good djs on the list as well as putting the not so good djs on it. They forgot Presto One, Robert Oleysyck, Skilz, Slip, John Doe, and not to mention the ladies, Ms Joy, Kriscut, Supra, L1, along with butch of other local DJs that are not mentioned.

Also, what the hell do tanning salons have to do with nightclubs? Seriously. Instead of having a category such as best sound system, there is best tanning? Come on now.

Well they could have also left out hair salons. But I guess if theyre going to have shopping...

I wouldnt even vote for the stupid thing. Its an embarrassment to the industry by leaving out certain top djs on the list but including tanning salons and Betsey Johnson as having to do with nightlife. It makes the industry look like a bunch of fools!! Next year they should include best 1 hour dry cleaners, teeth bleaching saloon, and protein shakes for Rehab.

Yes and it comes off as completely biased when the poll is being held on a nightclub's own web site domain. I gotta tell you, this poll is causing a real stir on local radio too. It's RIDICULOUS to not only leave off the djs mentioned earlier in this thread, but what about including ONE dj from Hot 97.5, the only radio station that features several mix shows every day. I mean CMON, what about DJ Franzen (OPM) the West coast DJ OF THE YEAR, or D-money (club 702) or Phaness (Ra, Vivid). Yes, these djs cater to "those other people" but they are on top of their game and deserve to be included along with everyone else.

this is really funny.. i saw the first selection of nominess in the LVW... and saw just a little bit of change in the nominees.. But yes.. I for one have been saying Faarsheed FaarSheed FarSheed. He has residency at 3 of the most covited spots in vegas.. PURE.. ICE .. and Empire.. Best

I think the categories should have included. and been limited to

Best Hip Hop DJ
Best House Music DJ
Best Break Beat DJ
Best Female DJ
Best Progressive House/Trance
Best AfterHours
Best Events Promoter
Best Hip Hop Club (Real and fake.. for Mr. Freeze's sake lol) Just kidding bro
Club with Best Go GO dancers..
Best lighting and visual effects
Best VIP Line Staff (cause we all know some Lineman or VIP bouncers can be pricks)
Best Bartenders
Best Sound system
Best Special Event (ie. Pimp n Ho..Fetish and Fantasy, AVN,etc..)

These are the components of a night club and night club environment.



hopefully someone involved with the categories will read this and take notes.. cause not all of us can participate in some of the voting categories.. ( I am black and dont need a tanning salon or hair salon, or want my girl knowning what strip clubs i go to.. dont perform burlesque.. or frequent the local bars..)
