Suggestions for Wednesday night spot??

Any ideas on where we should go on Wednesday night? We're 2 hot ladies, mid 20's, definitely need to hear some good hiphop. it's been a while seen we've been to vegas so we're looking for some good suggestions...thanks!!

Wednesday is the worst Hip-Hop night of the week in Vegas. People will tell you to go to Tangerine but the "hip-hop" main room blows there. You will be much better off going to VIVID in the Venetian with DJ Phaness from Hot 97.5. It may not be completely packed, but the music will be pretty good. The best Hip-Hop (and I assume you mean current Hip-Hop) can be experienced at OPM in the Forum Shops Friday through Sunday and club 702 on Saturday (beware 702 is off the strip and is considered pretty ghetto allowing any dress code if thats your thing).

Hip-hop/rap options are definitely limited on Wednesday. Weakest club night of the week for anything these days, really. Another option for you would be Studio 54, which will be mostly mainstream hip-hop/rap and some mash-ups.

Big question is whether you're more interested in going out for the music or going out for the people and the party. For that matter, if you're interested in the music, sepcifically what you mean by "hip-hop." If you're talking a club that'll boom the latest from Kanye West and the like, you'll find that anywhere.

I haven't been to Vivid on Wednesdays so I'll trust outofthebox that the music is better, but if you want to hit up a fairly popular spot on its best night, then hit Tangerine.

I'd recommend starting off at Tangerine, and if you want a change of music and/or scenery then just walk across the street to Vivid. Hell, hop back-and-forth the whole night if you like.

if you want a cool local vibe, good beats, and good food... Ra Sushi has open decks and half the DJ's are normally hip-hop..

Ah yes, good call! And a great warmup for Tangerine and/or Vivid, since Fashion Show is right behind TI.

"Flow" Wednesdays are always good at Vivid. We have stopped by a couple times to check out the scene and it was always good. Dj Phaness is a great hip hop dj. He's been spinning hip hop in Las Vegas for a number of years and is pretty well known in town.

If you want to take a break from all the Clubs on the strip, check out a local spot over at Aloha Kitchen (South West corner of Decatur and Sahara). All the underground and classic cuts, also includes special guest MCs and DJs and b-boys & Girls. And it's free with cheap ass drinks.

Sounds like a good night, I'll definitely have to check it out next time I'm in town on a Wednesday. What do they have going on other nights?

And dare I make an assumption here, but with a name like Aloha Kitchen I imagine they serve plate lunch? (I was born and raised in Hawai'i so yet another Vegas draw for me is the huge ex-patriate population and culture there)

I like Tangerine on Wed, does get a bit crowded though. I've been to Tao a few times on Wed and it's been real good. They only open the lounge so it's a bit smaller than the Thurs-Sat. But I have to say, Wed by far is the worse night in town.
