Pool/club idea, thoughts?

I was just thinking:

What if a casino built a really cool pool on top of the casino then at night they could slide glass/whatever over the water (or leave some of it uncovered or have night pool parties) at night and turn it into a club venue. If they somehow did this right it would be by FAR the number 1 pool destination and a pretty sick club at night as well.

Is this plausable?
would you go?

What part you like? The roof part of the floor covering the pool?

The roof part - been done. Downtown Standard Hotel cerca 2005 did a few bashes early afternoon to late evening, house. I would say the sunny part of the day was more fun that evening.

The glass over the water - dunno. I would ask our engineers and insurance people on the board. Based upon my construction experience, I think the load support on the glass even over a narrow pool would be a major issue that might not be solved along with the insurance concern of supporting weight over water which is seen as life threatening imperil (because some people dont know how to swim, and when u support them over something that could kill em, I might triggers a whole higher level of insurance).

Green valley ranch had a covering over a portion of their pool to dance on, but not the whole thing, yes people could swim under and look up ladies dress's and skirts
