Body English Piss POOR

On Sunday after agreeing to a table and paying for 3 bottles the door guy Travis offered us a free 4th bottle if we gave him $200 cash. Dumb fools that we were we agreed and gave him $200. After the 3rd bottle was almost finished the table staff told us it was the 4th, like we can't count. Then when we said it was not and we wanted the 4th bottle that was to be comped we waited. When the door guy Travis came back to our table he said sorry and that he could not give us the 4th bottle and we would have to pay for it. We said to just give us the $200 back and we would call it even. Then he told us that he would not give us the $200 back and no comped bottle so we closed out our tab and left. What a piss poor way to run a club, lie at the door, take $200 in cash, not do what you say you will and then lose a group of 7+ over a bottle that cost them $25. We left and went elsewhere where we all had a much better time. Body English never again. I guess they can't handle the fact they are a 3rd or 4th rate club so thay have to scam customers. What a joke.

Will a host charge a fee for his/her services? Or does he collect from the venue?? I've never dealt with a host before but I am leaning towards it.

Honestly it happens all the time. I took 16 guys there sunday night and had them upstairs said buy 4 we will buy the 5th. When they closed their bill at 530 or so, there was 6 bottles, they told them one was free. I had another group there at the same time i told them to wait till i got back upstairs to take care of it. During the meanwhile they are trying to milk each guy for tips. I had told everyone up front that gratuities for everyone were included except the hostess. After all was said and done i got them 2 bottles for free, so not a bad night for the lucky guys

That's not so easy when there are 3 bouncers surrounding us and when we get tossed we end up in the casino with cameras everywhere. Trust me we all thought about it.

I deal with Body English on a weekly basis and I will tell you that is not typical of them. Next time you gotta speak up or talk to a senior host. But using an independent host does work in your favor. They never try to screw us.

I have heard these kinds of stories about Body English before, I was warned the first day I moved here ironically.

I have never been to see for myself, but have heard a few stories in the past 6-8 months, and haven't had the desire to go. At the same time I have heard worse things at other clubs, you just got to watch for stuff like that, there are always 1 bad seed that can make everyone look bad.

I too am a bit skeptical about this criticism given the lack of involvement from a senior host and/or manager.

Every single club is susceptible to (and has experienced) a staff member who may choose to take advantage of a guest for personal gains. The question is what kind of approach the club takes when such actions are brought to their attention.

The management of Body English are not ones to put up with behavior like this from their staff. But just like any other club, they can only do something about it when it's brought to their attention.

I have to admit I'm also a bit curious about the timeline of this particular story. A group of 7 goes through 3 bottles fast enough so that they have time to still go somewhere else -- on a Sunday -- where they have "a much better time." Well if you're that plowed I guess you can have a great time anywhere... and if the group didn't drink most of the booze themselves, then it's hard to complain about money when you give it away to total strangers...
