New To Vegas...Where to go - where to go??

What is the best spot in vegas and why?? I dont get to go out much (work..blah) so i am looking for THE place where i can get loose.

Depends on what you mean by "hip-hop." If you're talking about what you'll hear on mainstream radio or MTV, then you'll get that at pretty much every club in town.

If you're talking about the tracks you'll hear on independent hip-hop radio stations and in primarily-black urban nightclubs, the heavy bangers that only occasionally crack nationwide top-40, then Poetry (formerly OPM) is the place to go on the Strip.

If you're talking about old-school hip-hop/funk/soul, then Sundays at Tabu and Wednesdays at Tao (lounge) are where you want to be.

And if you're talking about modern underground and "true-school" hip-hop, you won't find it on the Strip.

what happens at rum jungle on Monday nights? I always used to see a line outside.

Rum Jungle tested hip hop on Mondays for a while but then of course the powers said wait a sec we don't want "that" crowd. They then went from hip hop to rock and lost 75% of their crowd instantly.

The new hip hop spot in Las Vegas is Spin Nightclub.

I'm sorry about that unprofessional response by the representative of Slide Sundays @ Tabu, MGM. You don't need to "listen to me" but nobody else in the history of Las Vegas has presented a hip hop line up like this for ONE weekend!

the first and only dj's in town that made hip hop what it was in vegas,was club uptown,(big up's to dj twin & Dj Frankie who by the way introduced hip hop here in las vegas back in 1974) club up town lasted 21 years..
not you,computer programer master of nothing..
if there's anything you brought over to vegas was,metal detectors to a club on the strip,congradulations,you were the first and only one to bring a negative vibe to the strip..
