LAS VEGAS – May 30, 2008, “Up and Smoke” afterhours at PUFF Nightclub features top international DJ and producer Saeed Younan, Friday, May 30 and prominent DJ Faarsheed, Saturday, May 31. Doors open 8 pm throughout the weekend. Opening sets begin at 12:30 am. Headliners start at 3 am with performances ending after sunrise.
Saeed Younan has developed into an artist of the global dance scene. Carving a sound all his own, Younan seamlessly blends house, techno, tribal, and percussive grooves with building momentum, making him a favorite among club goers as well as promoters.
A native of Washington DC (from a middle-eastern descent), Younan grew up listening to a variety of ethnic music. As a result, his musical sound resonates with percussive beats and tribal rhythms. His production has been dubbed “timeless” by top DJs and referred to as a “change of heart” for dance music. His vision is clear, yet simply stated: “I just want people to enjoy my music as much as I enjoy playing it for them,” says Younan.

While working as a DJ, Younan has been producing and remixing music for major and independent labels since the early 90’s (Addictive, Warner Brothers, EMI, Strictly Rhythm, Yoshitoshi, Star 69, Bamboo, Distinctive and Subliminal.) Throughout his career, he has had numerous top ten hits and a number one spot on Billboard Dance chart “(Celeda the Underground”). Adding echelon to his worldwide appeal, Younan was also nominated in 2003 for “Best Breakthrough DJ” at the annual DanceStar awards. He has headlined at prominent clubs across the globe, including Space and Cream (Ibiza, Miami), Pacha (Argentina, Israel, and Spain), Cave, Acabus (Dominican Republic), +Soda, and Venue (Greece), Vinyl, and Avalon (New York), Womb, (Tokyo), Sona (Montreal), and Boa (Toronto).
Oscar Molina will perform the evening’s opening set Friday night. Molina’s style of music is dark, sexy, and progressive mixed with dirty techy-electro. This style has become a force within the nightclub scene and is now one of the themes to the Vegas nightlife. Molina is an established Las Vegas artist and is sure to satisfy the crowd with the mix he brings to the dance floor.
Faarsheed was stated by Neil Moffit (Godskitchen, Inc.) as “the DJ to look out for. Faarsheed has proven to be a solid fixture in the dance music world. He has been playing alongside the biggest and best DJ’s from across the globe for years. In 2001, he began playing major events with promoter “Spundae” in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Later, he worked his way up to become part of the prestigious Godskitchen and ICE family, and a permanent fixture as a Godskitchen/Ice resident in Las Vegas.
In 2006 when ICE closed, Faarsheed began taking his show on the road touring most of the major cities throughout North & Central America. His style is unique & hard to pinpoint or label, but you can count on hearing a bit of deep, sexy, twisted, emotional, baseline & musically driven progressive tech & acid sounds including many of his own original productions & remixes, which are now seeing long awaited release dates. The opening set on Sunday is by “smashBOX” who pumps new energy into the commercial house scene with his underground style of “tribal-tech house”.
PUFF Nightclub opened its doors April 11 and is quickly establishing itself as the place to be for the newest after-hours scene in Las Vegas. Tickets at the door are $20 Friday and Saturday.
