That's my home town. I'll give some friends back home a shout and see what's poppin' off these days. I think it sucks, but I grew up there and had to get out. I was in Phoenix about two months ago. Its was a blur. . . but surprisingly fun. There's this area in South Scottsdale where tons of bars and clubs seem to be located, near the intersection of Camelback and Scottsdale Road. My recollection is that the major clubs are Axis/Radius, Club Rio, Sanctuary (that was the coolest place I went, but the first night I tried to get in and they sent me packing cuz on my gear - I had some cargos on), Crowbar (afterhours) and Insomnia (also afterhours). I believe axis, rio, and sanctuary have websites (thats how I found them before going there). Lost the bookmarks, sorry. I think they stop serving drinks at 1am in AZ, but the afterhours spots rage a little harder because of it, I think. Overall, its not a bad town, I was surprised. Sorry, I haven't had time to call anyone, as I'm launching a new club tomorrow, well, now it's today and haven't had time to do anything else. Look in the Newtimes when you get there. Also, anything that is put on by Kushner Productions will be tight. I think there's a new club where Pompeii used to be that goes off. Sancuary is supposed to be good, but nothing will compare to NYC. It's kind of conservative there, that's why I moved. There's a good underground scene, well, there was when I lived there, because I was the underground scene. I used to throw parties with Sandra Collins and Eddie Amador back in the day. Anyway, sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but that place SUCKS.
