Frisk-e Review...

Once a month, a very hard working guy invites some of his friends to come and play some tracks at a small, cozy, lounge on Espanola Way. People are lured in by the sounds, have a few drinks (in my case, many), dance, chat and have an unbelievable time. It may sound bizarre to some, how such a simple concept works. Some clowns might argue that there's no "VIP" "VVIP", "uber-VIP" and so much of that other mumbo jumbo that in the end, fades in comparison to the music and the crowd. I would tend to differ and claim that it's pretty fucking simple when altogether, the 4 djs that end up spinning are the absolute best locals this town could ever possibly offer! Throwing in classics like Afromedusa's 'Pasilda' and 'Club Fiesta', dropping "hot at the moment" records like Da Sunlounge's 'Feels So Good' and scrathing samples over dancefloor friendly chuggers are just a few of the tricks that these acrobat djs pull off, month after month! My proposition: keep at it, kids! Seth and his band of misfits have proven once again why this is the definitive locals party!!!

Who needs cheesy parties hosted by some celebrity who you are guarranteed never to see all night (unless you happen to be a bigger celebrity than him/her)? Who needs attitude at the door and bouncers who bask in their own fantasies of self importance? I mean this place has character and then it has characters! Where else can funketeer feel more free to do what he does best?

So on this night, like on each of the previous Fridays that Blue was transformed into househead paradise, the alcohol was flowing in abundance (thanks to Seth's unparalleled negotiation skills in getting top shelf drink specials with Patron and Grey Goose), lyrik got his customary light beers, I argued with everyone and bling was shitting his pants while a "less-than-sober" funketeer tried taking photos with his borrowed camera. So you might ask: how was this different than any other house night? Digitalphoenix actually showed up!

Great seeing all the beautiful people and meeting some more, I had a blast...last night was classic
