"chaos engine"/traveller&quest on sandra collins & pvd?

i'm listening to sandra collins' cream - got it a long time ago and just never got around to listening to it - and it seems to me that some part of traveller & quest's "chaos engine" was somewhere on pvd's out there and back. can anybody help me out with this?
