Circulates as KTKT1. Depeche Mode “Enjoy The Silence 2004” White ENG 12 – bigroom house reworking of this Depeche Mode classic with one version featuring the full vocal and the other dubbing the vocal in and out of the production. Circulates as DAMODE001. This is a different bootleg from the 16B version from a couple weeks ago. Disco Darlings “Shake Your Body” White ENG 12 – latest in the series of bootlegs from this popular producer. Hooky disco house production with a funky female vocal and a dub version on the flip. Earth Wind & Fire “September 2004” White ENG 12 – chunky, energetic house reworking of this classic disco track with hooks from the chorus worked through the production. Circulates as KEANE001, flipside has a chunky reworking of “Sympathy” by indie-rock group Keane. Peter Gabriel “Darkness 2004” Sogchrome ENG 12 – legal 2004 progressive reworking of this Peter Gabirel track with dark, ethereal synth lines and chuggy rhythms with the original vocal worked in. Includes a progressive breaks mix on the flip. Gusto “Disco’s Revenge 2004” White FRA 12 Part 2 – second set of mixes by DJ Luccio of this classic mid-90s instrumental house cut. INXS “New Sensation 2004” White ENG 12 – progressive breakbeat working integrating the original vocal and instrumentation into a dark, energetic production. Includes a full vocal mix and a dub version. Circulates as FLY005. Madonna “Die Another Day 2004” White ENG 12 – remix purportedly by Tiesto with hooks from Madonna’s lyrics and chorus worked into the energetic production. On the flip is a Tiesto remix of Radiohead “Street Spirit.” Circulates as SDFRY6. Madonna “Vogue 2004” White GER 12 – chunky electrotechhouse bootleg circulating as Formbieger, catalog number KABEL001, hooks of the vocal worked into the production. On the flip is a similarly dubber reworking of Moloko “Sing It Back.” Alanis Morissette vs Slam “Should Not Be Lifetimes” White GER 12 – bootleg circulating as Slaming Alanis, ROHR001 that puts the vocal from Alanis’ “Should Not Be Here” over the chunky progressive instrumentation to Slam “Lifetimes.” New Order “Crystal 2004” White ENG 12 – Lee Coombs progressive breakbeat remix circulating as FLR051 with his remix of Paul Oakenfold “Time Of Your Life” on the flip. Propellerheads “Take California 2004” White ENG 12 – progressive breakbeat reworking of this classic Propellorheads track. Circulates as PPHEAD001. Ruffneck f/Yavahn “Everybody Be Somebody 2004” White ENG 12 – latest in the Street series of bootlegs (29ST), this time they rework the classic from Ruffneck in that trademark chunky house sound. On the flip is “Feel If” which is a rework of the CLS in a driving bigroom discohouse sound. House Angel City “Do You Know” Data ENG 12 and C5 – Phunk Investigation provide the house mix on this reworking of the classic Robert Miles “Children” with a sunny, bouncy female vocal worked over the top of PI’s chunky, funky house reworking that preserves the melodic beauty of the original instrumental sample quite nicely. Bitch Hotel f/Rivaz “End Of Time” D:Vision ITA 12 – Solid Italian house production with a touch of disco flavour supporiting a smooth, breezy female vocal. Gambafreaks mix on the flip adds a tougher, techier edge to the production but preserves the smoothness of the vocal. Black Hustle “Free” Shake ITA 12 – Inspirational male vocal houser with a slightly progressive tinge to the synthwork and a chuggy rhythm line that adds to the dark driving power of the production. For fans of a more tribal sound the Espanika mix is more focused on rhythm hooks to balance the power of the vocal. Black Rock “Blue Water” Phonetic ENG 12 – Solid disco-tinged house production with a light, summery female vocal supported by an energetic rhythm line and flowing house synth lines. Full vocal on one side, dub on the flip. Full Intention “It Hurts Me” Dtention ENG 12 Promo – The masters of smooth, seductive classic vocal house return again with another winner. “It Hurts Me” features a soulful male vocal over trademark Full Intention house orchestration. Flipside “Once In A Lifetime” is a bit chunkier and funkier in feel with a hooky vocal sample of the title worked into the production. Guy Delicious “Iko Iko” Tinted AUS 12 – Chunky tribal-tinged reworking of this classic late-60s cut featuring the covered full vocal over a toe-tapping latin-tribal orchestration. On the flip, Mutiny mellow the production out for a smoother production that dubs the vocal in and out of the production. Junior Jack & Kid Crème “Private Tools” Egoiste GER 12 – Working on the deeper tip this time, Junior Jack pairs with Kid Crème for a deeper, smoother house production that features a smooth, seductive Latin-tinged vocal chant worked into the production. On the flip, a darker, chunkier Prada remix features a seductive spoken female vocal worked into the production. Khia “My Neck My Back (Lick It) 2004” Direction ENG 12 and C5 – Huge urban hit from a couple years back get new 2004 update for its UK release. For the house community Tom Neville produces a chunky, funky tech-tinged production that is as aggressive as Khia’s blunt rap. Brent Laurence “This Life” Soulstar GER 12 – Smooth, seductive garage cut with a soulful male vocal over shuffly rhythm lines. Remix comes from Harley and Muscle who integrate the vocal into a warm blend of live instrumentation and house synthwork. Kevin Lyttle “Turn Me On” Atlantic USA C5 – Lenny B, E-Smoove and Bastone & Burns on the mix for this massive Caribbean-flavoured urban hit that has taken the radio by storm. Pick mix for the bigrooms would be the Lenny B mix with its hooky synth lines helping to keep the carnival feel of the original production intact. E-Smoove gives the track a chunkier house feel. CD-Only, no vinyl pressing planned. Nice Cream “Song 2” Electronik Data ITA 12 – The instrumentation from Blur’s “Song 2” gets covered in this energetic tech house production from Italy with all the recognizable synth elements (and that woo-hoo vocal shout) blended with driving rhythm lines and aggressive synth hooks. Kelly Pitiuso “You Are So Fine” Q Point ITA 12 – Elements of Toni Basil “Mickey” are sampled in this funky, chunky guitar-laced Italian tech house production. The vocal is slowed down to the mid-120s BPM and given a huge dose of attitude in the breakdown before building into a massive breakout. Mike Rizzo f/Allie “Can’t Go On” Koch USA C5 – Major Billboard Club Chart track gets a commercial release with Allie’s solid vocals are supported by Rizzo’s solid bigroom house orchestrations. CD-only release. Shapeshifter “Lola’s Theme” ENG 12 Part 3 – Yet another round of mixes on what is shaping to be one of the anthems of 2004. Here ATFC pulls out all the punches in his solid disco-influenced remix while a deeper, subtler interpretation is provided by Norman Jaye that highlights the beauty of the vocal perfecty. Solid Façade “Work Me” Fatal BNX 12 – One for the fans of dark, driving tribal with congas ablaze and a hypnotic vocal hook of the title worked into the production. The synthwork adds a slight progressive touch to the production. Remix on the flip comes from Jaimy and is deeper and more progressive in feel. Soul Central “Strings Of Love” White ENG 12 – Limited test pressings of this reinterpretation of the classic Derrick May track featuring remixes by Maring ten Velden and Danny Krivit. Classy instrumental house reinterpretations. Will be a release on Defected sometime later this autumn. Whiteside p/Soulvibes “Heaven” Clubstar GER 12 – Chunky inspirational vocal house production from Germany with energetic rhythm lines, a big diva vocal setting it straight for the floor, and hooky saxophone samples. Remix comes from Simone Vitullo who gives the cut a slight tribal edge. Trance & Progressive Angel City “Do You Know” Data ENG 12 and C5 – Cor Fijneman provides the big name trance remix on this reworking of the classic Robert Miles “Children” with a sunny, bouncy female vocal worked over the top of massive synth orchestrations that preserves the melodic beauty of the original instrumental sample quite nicely. Also includes the original version in a bouncy trancepop style. ATB “Here With Me” Kontor GER 12 – One of Germany’s commercial trance masters back again with this beautiful production that features a heartfelt female vocal supported by a deep, seductive instrumental orchestration and solid rhythm lines. B-side track “Intencity” is an uplifting melodic instrumental production that has shades of the classic Dutch style. Damae f/Londonbeat “I’ve Been Thinking About You” White ITA 12 – Former Fragma vocalist getting some help from the original vocalist in this cover of the 1989 radio and club hit. Solid commercial trance interpretations with Damae’s vocals interpreting the lyrics nicely. Remixes come from Safri Duo’s Michael Parsberg, Paut Hutsch, and a harder trance interpretation from the 89ers. Well produced cover of a classic. Deep Dish “Flashdance” Positiva ENG 12 Part 2 – Another of 2004’s anthems getting further remix treatment as Meat Katie offers fans of the increasingly popular progressive breakbeat style an interpretation that melds the vocal and guitar elements of the original into a chunky breakbeat extravaganza. Groovemaster K & Daniel Garcia “Some More” Conya GER 12 – Seductive progressive production with flowing synth swells and washed, smooth steady rhythm lines and hooky male vocal samples of the the title worked into the production. Khia “My Neck My Back (Lick It) 2004” Direction ENG 12 and C5 – Huge urban hit from a couple years back get new 2004 update for its UK release. For the trancepop community Friday Night Posse integrate Khia’s rap into a driving, energetic hi-NRG production. Dannii MInogue “You Won’t Forget About Me” All Around The World ENG 2x12 Promo – limited doublepack promos of the new single from Kylie’s younger sister with remixes coming from LMC, Kenny Hayes and Afterlife. Dannii’s vocals supported by energetic UK trancepop orchestrations. MV “Come Back To Me” Joystick ENG 12 – Martin Venetjoki here with a dark, driving progressive production featuring chuggy rhythm lines, deep yet energetic synth orchestrations and growling male spoken vocal hooks worked into the production. Redanka “Waves” RIP ENG 12 – Seductive instrumental cut that rides the border between progressive and trance perfectly with a warm melodic feel balanced by a smooth deep overlay to the synthwork that is then balanced by solid, energetic rhythm lines. On the flip is an ambient interpretation of the track.
