Kosheen vs Flower Power “Don’t Go Wasting My Time” White ENG 12 – circulating as KHEAD001, this blends the vocals from Kosheen “Wasting My Time” with the instrumentation from Flower Power. Suzanne Palmer “Alright 2004” White ENG 12 – circulates as Digital Allstars, catalog number ALRIGHT001, full vocal in a solid Defected bigroom house vein. Two different versions, both feature the full vocal. Very classy update of this solid house classic. Juliet Roberts “Caught In The Middle 2004” White ENG 12 – latest in the Avenue series (14AVE), reworking of Juliet Roberts classic in the trademark style of this bootleg series. On the flip is a mashup that blends Bel Amour’s “Gotta Have It’ with Soulsearcher’s massive classic “Can’t Get Enough”. Sasha vs Emerson “Scorccio 2004” White ENG 12 – bootleg progressive house reworking of this classic with a bootleg mix of Sasha “Xpander” on the flip. Circulates as SAS001. Sucker DJs vs Eric Prydz “It’s Gotta Be Slammin” White ENG 12 – circulates as MOUCHE004, flipside is a reworking of The Hives with their vocals worked into the Sucker DJs “It’s Gotta Be” instrumentation. U2 “Discotheque 2004” White ENG 12 – circulates as Etostone vs Stama, chunky breakbeat reworking of the U2 track with elements of the original vocal and instrumentation worked into the production. House Copyright “Release Yourself” Copyright USA 12 – Classic garage house production with deep, funky rhythm lines, live instrumentation and a stunning female vocal worked into the production. Includes a remix by Reel People on the flip. Da Skunk “Hot Box” Blow USA 12 – Hatiras on the production for this aggressive slice of tech house with pumpy rhythm lines, slightly acidic house synth orchestrations, and lots of punch and energy. Flipside cut “Cigar” adds hooky spoken male vocals to the production a la Max Linen. 84 King Street “Many Men” Motivo ITA 12 – vocal and instrumental samples from the Lipps Inc “So Many Men So Little Time” get the bigroom house rework here with driving rhythm lines and aggressive house synth orchestrations. Massive reworking that will get the hands in the air in the big circuit clubs. Ethan “In My Heart” Backyard ENG 12 – Deeper tech house production with a seductive female vocal, flowing lines of moderately acidic house synth and a steady, shuffly rhythm line. On the flip Sandy Wilhelm thickens the synth lines but preserves the overall ethereal beauty keeping the vocal intact. JJ Flores & Steve Smooth “The Ride” Finetune FRA 12 – Massive tech house release from this veteran French label with chunky, aggressive rhythm lines, driving waves of acidic synth and hooky deep growling spoken male vocals. On the flip, French tech house master Antoine Clamaran reworks the production in his patent style. Geri Halliwell “Ride It” Virgin ENG 12 – Ginger Spice back again with this cheeky new single. Full Intention on the mix here as they integrate Geri’s saucy vocals into their trademark classic house production style. Includes both full vocal and dub versions. High Spies f/Latrice Barnett “This Time” Look & Feel USA 12 – Smooth, seductive garage vocal house cut with a gorgeous female vocal over a shuffly, flowing mid-tempo house orchestraton, perfect for the smaller rooms and lounges. Loleatta Holloway “Stand Up” Gossip USA 12 – A late-70s hook gets brushed off and reinvigorated by the legendary Loleatta Holloway who provides a tour de force performance while orchestrations by Hott 22 and Audiowhores provide the perfect platform for the inspirational vibe to shine through. Debi Nova “One Rhythm” Warner USA 2x12 – Ralphi Rosario providing the bigroom interpretation on this festive Latin production with a mixture of Spanish and English vocals worked into Ralphi’s trademark house production style. Includes club mix, dub and a more tribal-oriented Afrocuban interpretation. Also included are downtempo interpretations for more mainstream bar play. (note CD-Maxi appears to have been delayed but is still scheduled for release during November 2004.) Tunnel Trance Force “Silver Night EP” Tunnel GER 12 – Four-track EP highlighting some of the best in German trance production. Driving rhythm lines, massive waves of anthemic melodies, and hooky vocal samples in the breakdowns, all the elements of classic German trance. Young Parisians f/Ben Lost “Jump The Next Train” Euphonic GER 12 – Latest releaseo on Euphonic featuring an ethereal male vocal supported by excellent anthemic melodic orchestrations from Solarstone and Kyau vs Albert. Circulates as SFBREMIX008. 11.49 Depeche Mode “Enjoy The Silence 2004” White USA 12 – bootleg tribal tinged mixes by Felipe Inoa and Serebe Kironde. Circulates as SIL001. Everything But The Girl “Tempermental 2004” White ENG 12 – Blue Amazon reworking of this haunting EBTG classic with Tracey Thorne’s stunning vocals perfectly wrapped in a seductive progressive house orchestration. On the flip, Blue Amazon use instrumental hooks from Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” as the basis for their track “Sue Me.” Circulates as BA1. Michael Jackson “Get On The Floor 2004” White ENG 12 – smooth mid-tempo house reworkings by Sir Piers of this classic Michael Jackson track. Includes both full vocal and dub versions. Circulates as HEADZ006. Moby f/Public Enemy “Make Love F*ck War 2004” White ENG 12 – chunky breakbeat rework with the full rap worked in. On the flip is a similar styled rework of Beastie Boys “Ch-Ch-Check It Out” circulates as ROK1. Jill Scott “Golden” White USA 12 Bootleg – Cadang series (CD04) with another R & B track given similar rework on the flip. Tomcraft “Loneliness 2004” White ENG 12 – bootleg mix by The Hacker, circulates as HACKER009. House Akabu “Don’t Hold Back” NRK ENG 12 Part 2 – New Skylark mixes of this soulful house cut from the Joey Negro supported act. Skylark gives the track a slightly deep progressive feel to the production while preserving the inspirational feel of the vocal perfectly. Destiny’s Child “Lose My Breath” Epic ENG 12 – Paul Johnson on the mix of this massive new single from the veteran American R&B act. Johnson adds a solid, funky midtempo house orchestration that works very well with the ladies’ vocals. Also includes the punchy original version that has been all over pop radio and TV Duran Duran “(Reach Up For The) Sunrise” Epic ENG 12 Promo and Part 2 – Vinyl editions of this excellent new single from the veteran pop act and 80s icons. The commercial 12” features a chunky rock-tinged reworking from Jason Nevins, an electro-tech interpretation from Alex G and a chunky tech-trance dub from Ferry Corsten while the Promo edition feature a massive bigroom reworking from the Almighty crew that works perfectly with the singalong vocals. Granite & Phunk “Knock You Over” Toolroom ENG 12 – Breakfast Club’s mid-80s classic “Right On Track” is the vocal hook behind this release with elements of the original vocal and instrumentation worked into a chunky, slightly tech-influenced house production. Fans of Eric Prydz’ “Call On Me” will find this release very useful. Includes a solid remix by Lee Cabrera on the flip in their trademark bigroom chunky house style. Jeffed “Masterplan” 33/45 BNX 12 – excellent bigroom tech house monster from Belgium with energetic house synth orchestrations, driving rhythm lines and a hand-raising diva vocal blended to perfection. Max Linen “Flashback” Phonetic ENG 12 – The creator of 2002’s massive “Soulshaker” returns with another aggressive, dark bigroom tech house monster featuring a deep, growling male spoken vocal worked into the production. On the flip D Ramirez reworks the track in his signature aggressive dark tech style. Massive. Luis Paris “Rhythm Of House” Groovestation UK ENG 12 – Chunky bigroom house production with a hooky male vocal sample, seductive synth orchestrations and a funky rhythm line. Includes both full vocal and dub versions. Alanis Morrissette “Eight Easy Steps” Maverick USA C5 – CD-Maxi only for the club mixes to the latest Alanis Morissette single. Includes a nice bigroom reworking from Orange Factory, a chunky mid-tempo house reworking from E-Smoove and a remix from Jez & Collins. All make excellent use of Alanis’ vocal. Muttonheads “Smashing Music” Serial FRA 12 – Sultry mid-tempo tech house production with a seductive female vocal and a hooky house synth orchestration with a slight retro-electro feel. On the flip is a chunkier, tougher reworking from Joachim Garraud, the producer for David Guetta, that gives the track a more solid bigroom feel. Mynt f/Kim Sozzi “How Did You Know” Neutone USA 12 – Having circulated for months on mp3 and on CD-Maxi, this cover of Kurtis Mantronix;s huge 2003 hit finally gets a commercial vinyl release. Kim’s rendition of the vocal is solid, and Mynt’s orchestration transforms the track from a classic disco-house monster into a giant circuit anthem. Passionardor “Everlasting Love” Soulfuric Deep USA 12 – Smooth midtempo vocal garage cut with a stunning female vocal over a shuffly rhythm line and seductive house orchestration. Remix from Jon Cutler on the flip adds an additional classic house touch to the production. Radical Noiz “In The Music” White ENG 12 – Chunky bigroom tech house monster with a hooky male vocal, driving rhythm lines and aggressive Benassi-influenced synth lines. Two mixes, both going for the jugular with tons of energy and punch. Harry Romero f/Jessica Eve “What Happened’ Slip N Slide ENG 12 Part 1 and Part 2 – UK edition of this chunky tech houser originally on Bambossa, now with several new mixes to spread the appeal of the track to all kinds of floors. Vocals provided by the vocalist of “Shiny Disco Balls”. Disc one features remixes from Rhythm Code, Hannu and J Reverse as well as the original while disc two features mixes by Mync and Midnight Groovers as well as a solid dub from Eric Morillo. Mathieu Sica “Love” Darkness FRA 12 – Massive French vocal tech house production with a hooky female diva vocal over an energetic house synth orchestration and driving rhythm lines. Remix from Avalanche on the flip in a similar style. Small World “Just Can’t Give You Up” 3DB ENG 12 Promo – Chunky vocal house production with a bouncy female vocal over a smooth, seductive disco-tinged house synth orchestration. Remix on the flip toughens the rhythm line in a Junior Jack-influenced direction. Bright, bouncy house production. Britney Spears “My Prerogative” Jive GER C5 – Commerical CD-maxi of this Bobby Brown cover featuring remixes from X-Press 2 and Armand van Helden with X-Press 2 going for the dark, driving progressive-edged production (a la what they did with Kelis “Milkshake”) while Armand goed for the funky tech-tinged sound. X-Press 2 uses the full vocal (with a dub mix also included) while Armand dubs the vocal in and out through the track. Solid club mixes for this big pop record. Shaheer Williams f/Stephanie Cooke “Show Me” Soul Groove USA 12 – Classic garage vocal house featuring the stunning vocal talents of Ms Stephanie Cooke over a warm, seductive house synth orchestration. Includes both full vocal and instrumental version. Trance & Progressive Art Of Trance “Mongoose” Platipus ENG 12 – Excellent new production from this longtime producer in the classic UK melodic trance style. A bit darker and techier in places, but with several dramatic buildups and melodic breakdown worked into the overall production. Jason Cortez “Such A Feeling’ Nukleuz GER 12 – Early 90s classic from Bizarre Inc gets the high-octance UK hard trance rework here from Nukleuz. Massvie melodic buildups, driving rhythm lines, and hooky female vocals blended to create a massive bigroom production. Remix comes from Greg Brookman who gives the track a darker, techier feel. Galimar “Sunshine On A Rainy Day” Alphabet City GER 12 – Excellent Teutonic vocal trancer with an uplifting female vocal over a driving blend of energetic rhythm lines and waves of melodic synth orchestrations. On the flip is a more subdued, melodic reworking for the later hours and a darker, techier remix by Teddy Marks that works nicely with the vocal. Greed f/Lesley “Tea In The Sahara” Sog ENG 12 – An old Police single gets the dark, driving progressive house reinterpretation here with Lesley’s haunting vocals supported by a dark, floating synth orchestration and chunky, solid rhythm lines. On the flip Kasey Taylor and Chris Meehan provide a slightly techier and spacier version that dubs the vocal in and out of the production. Ian van Dahl “inspiration” Freestyle BNX 12 – Latest single from this popular Belgian poptrance band sees them heading into a deeper direction with Annemie’s seductive vocal over a darker, slightly progressive-influenced orchestration. On the flip, Peter Luts gives a techier edge to the mix that builds to a dramatic breakdown that showcases Annemie’s vocals perfectly. Not the typical bouncy pop-oriented Ian van Dahl track, this new release has a bit of an Iio feel to the overall production.
