Aretha Franklin “Respect 2005” White ENG 12 – DERIG010, latest in the DeRigeur series of bootlegs, one side has a powerful, energetic discotinged upper-120s reworking of La Aretha with the famous chorus worked in beautifully. On the flip is a similar-styled reworking of Eveyln Champagne King's "Shame". Hot new bootleg in limited quantities and probably the strongest release of the series to date. Gipsy Kings “Bamboleo 2005” White ENG 12 – GYPT2, Unkle Funk remixes in a funky Latin house style with the original vocals and those famous guitars worked in beautifully. Inculdes a dub version on the flip. Loleatta Holloway “Keep The Fire 2005” White ENG 12 – Frank De Felice reworking samples from the classic Loleatta vocal into a pumpy upper-120s BPM discohouse extravaganza. SCARECROW001. Kool & The Gang “Misled 2005” White USA 12 – Kelly Reverb reworking this classic with hooks of the original vocal woven into a funky, chunky rhythm line. LS012. Radiohead “Everything In It’s Place 2005” White ENG 12 – breakbeat rework by Aquasky of this classic cut. RADIO1. Gwen Stefani “Hollaback Girl” White ENG 12 Bootleg – Black Fingers mixes, funky mid-120s house mixes with full vocal worked into the production. Includes a tougher dub version on the flip. BLSH001. House Pino Arduini f/Lisa Hopkins “Don’t Stress Me Out” Map Dance ENG 12 – Kiko Navarro on the mix for this smooth seductive garage cut with a warm, to the point vocal by Ms Hopkins over shuffly rhythms and funky synth lines. Includes full vocal and dub versions. ATFC f/Inaya Day “Reach Out To Me” Onephatdeeva ENG 12 – chunky new single from Aydin here with La Inaya doing her thing to a driving disco-infused house orchestration. Includes full vocal and dub versions. Da Hool “Meet Her At The Love Parade” Electron FRA 12 Part 2 – Second set of massive new remixes on this classic cut here from France with pride of place going to Antoine Clamaran who reworks it into a massive bigroom tribal monster, working the famous synth line into a pounding rhythm orchestration. On the flip Joachim Garraud gives the track a more French tech-house twist with excellent manipulation of the synth lines. Depeche Mode “Precious” Mercury ENG 12 Part 2 – Part two of the UK release of the latest single from the veteran UK act features mixes from Motor, Misc and Michael Mayer and range from the minimalist tech house to a full vocal progressive interpretation. Excellent new single from Gahan and company. ‘ Discoblaster “Fading” Zeitgeist GER 12 Part 1 and Part 2 – bouncy German tech-house cover of Roxette’s “Fading Like A Flower” with disc one featuring the original and a massive tech house interpretation from Steve Murano as only he can make, while disc two features hooky reworkings from Disco Boys as well as Murano’s dub. Fun new German single with mixes to appeal to a variety of floors. DJ Pierre “Come Together” King Street USA 12 – Sexy hose cut from DJ Pierre with a seductive female vocal over the pumpy dark rhythms and synth orchestrations produced by Pierre. Includes a chunkier, more energetic Wild Pitch mix that gives the vocal full pride of place for the bigger rooms. DONS “Pump Up The Jam 2005” Executive FRA 12 – the Technotronic-sampling classic getting a new French update here with a pumpy tech house mix by DJ Flex and a more twisted reworking from Kurd Maverick, both of which manipulate the famous vocal from Felly to the fullest. Excellent new productions for the bigroom floors. Cevin Fisher “Koncrete Jungle” Ggressive USA 12 – Dark brooding funky tribal tech monster with growling male spoken vocals perfect for the darker floors that love tons of energy but not a lot of bright melody. Chunky rhythm lines and hooky synth samples blended perfectly. Funky Green Dogs “Reach For Me 2005” Murk ENG 12 – Massive new mixes from Steve Lawler and Peter Bailey on this classic FGD track with a powerful female vocal and solid bigroom productions to keep the floors moving. Also includes the original production that has been long out of print. Kingdom Kome “Feel The Magic” Kingdom Kome GER 12 – Uplifting Prdyz-style house production with a powerful male vocal sample, driving, slightly techy house synth orchestrations and energetic rhythm lines. For fans of the punchy singalong 80s-influenced house sound this is perfect. Steve Mac “Loving You More (That Big Track)” CR2 ENG 12 – New vocal version of Steve Mac’s “That Big Track” with a powerful female vocal added to the addictive disco-tinged house orchestration, and to boot a massive mix from the Freemasons is included on the flip. Simon & Shaker “Freshness 2005” Tusom SPA 12 – Dark, slightly progressive vocal house cut from Simon & Shaker here with a haunting female vocal blended with the instrumentation perfectly. On the flip D-Formation darkens and toughens the mix. Bob Sinclar f/Gary Pine “Love Generation” Tommy Boy USA 12 and Defected ENG 12 – Latest release from Bob Sinclar, with its uplifting funky male vocal line and driving discohouse orchestration, is now available in the USA and UK. US release has Sinclar’s original vocal and dub version, while the UK version has the original and a more garage-oriented reworking from Ron Carroll. . Soulchip “Let’s Rock” Sound Division ITA 12 – Poweful diva-driven Italian bigroom house production with a powerful guitar sample worked in to balance the hand raising vocal from V Scott. On flip is a similar-styled full-vocal mix of Iio “Poetica” and a rework of Tom Brown “Funkin For Jamaica”. Faith Evans “Lucky Day 2005” White USA 12 – XM001, smooth garage house mix with the full vocal worked in. flipside is a similar-style rework of “I Don’t Need It”. The Killers “All These Things” White USA 12 Bootleg – JKA001, Josh Patrick reworking a recent Killers single in a funky, chunky slightly breaky style with the full original vocal worked in. Massive Attack “Teardrop 2005” White ENG 12 – TEAR001, breakbeat rework of this track with the original vocal worked into the progressive break-tinged production. Wamdue Project “King Of My Castle 2005” White ENG 12 – 25AVE, Latest in the Avenue bootleg series, side A featues a funky upper 120s disco-tinged house rework of Wamdue Project's "King Of My Castle" with hooks of the chours worked in, while on the flip it's The KLF's 1990 classic "3AM Eternal" with the famous female vocal worked into a chunky upper 120s house orchestration. Very nice, summery reworkings of classic tracks in the high Avenue/Series quality. House Ian Carey f/Miss Bunty “Say What You Want” Beside ITA 12 – Big uplifting disco-influnced house production with a solid female vocal and Carey’s trademark classic production. On the flip Eddie Amador provides a slightly tougher, chunkier interpretation. Chosen Few “The After Party” Adhesive ENG 12 Promo – Test pressing from this All Around The World offshoot, this is a bouncy commercial vocal house production with a hooky female vocal and a disco-influenced orchestration. On the flip Serial Diva raise the energy level several notches while Flickman reprise their “Sound Of Bamboo” techy sound in their production that blends nicely with the vocal. Da Hool “Meet Her At The Love Parade 2005” Electronic FRA 12 – One of the classic dance anthems of the late 1990s reprised once again and this time the mixes are in the pumpy French tech house style as Chris Kaesar and Laurent Pautrat provide interpretations that insert the famous synth line of the original into driving big room floor movers. 11AM “Shine” Device USA 12 – Smooth seductive garage cut with a warm, inspirational female vocal, lush live instrumental and house synth orchestration and shuffly rhythm lines. Classic production perfect for the smaller, more intimate rooms. Freeform Five “No More Conversations” Four GER 12 Part 1 and 2 – Chunky funky tech meets disco house production with a hooky seductive female vocal that blends perfectly with the orchestrations. Disc one features the stunning summery original and chunkier tech reworkings from Mylo and Richard X while disc 2 features a solid disco-tinged mix from Soul Mekanic and a quirky electrohouse production from Alter Ego. Fun Fun “Happy Station 2005” Kontor GER 12 – Early 80s classic receiving the update from Rico Bass in a chunky Vinylshaklers meets Benny Benassi style with the original vocal worked into the production in full Remix from 2-4 and Bonita elaborate on the basic production nicely. Oscar G & Ralph Falcon “Dark Beat 2005” White SPA 12 – Dark chunky tech-tribal monsters of productions on this huge Twisted single from a couple years back. The famous vocal chant is provided in full, while the orchestrations by Gianluca Motta and Minimal Chic provide a new interpretation on the classic track. Groove Heads “Big Time” Hit FRA 12 – Big, boisterous tribal monster perfect for fans of late-90s NYC circuit house with powerful drum lines, hooky vocal samples and energetic synth hooks and samples. Three mixes, all powerhouse productions. Iio “At The End 2005” White USA 12 Promo – Limited edition 2005 remix by Frank Bailey of this classic Iio cut, with a new orchestration that transforms the vocal into a perfect deeper house production designed for use in the smaller, more intimate rooms or for floors that hanker for the classic garage sound. Mikael Johansson “Things Will” Mad Nurse BNX 12 – Howard Jones’ classic “Things Will Only Get Better” is reworked in a Prydz-esque style with the full original chorus integrated into the energetic production. On the flip is a tougher, almost techno reworking from Hertz. Mad8 “Work This Pussy” Frenetica ITA 12 – Chunky Italian tech house pounder with a catchy, crude female vocal hook of the title worked in for added dramatic effect. Bouncy production with tons of energy. Ricky Martin “I Don’t Care” Columbia USA 12 – Return to clubland for the Latin heartthrob with a massive bigroom house production by Ralphi Rosario that perfectly blends Ricky’s hooky vocal with a floor-driving orchestration. Flipside includes remixes by Norty Cotto and LEX that are also very energetic reworkings for the main room. Ministers De La Funk “Believe 2005” Executive Limited FRA 12 – Limited test pressing of the new DJ Flex remix of this classic Subliminal release from a couple years back. The inspiring female vocal is fully preserved in Flex’ hooky French disco-tech orchestration. Craig Obey f/Abela “Gonna Have To Play” Stereo 7 ITA 12 Promo – Chunky funky Italian electrotech production with a massive female vocal that sets the record straight while the instrumentation builds and builds out of the breakdown. Solid production with an excellent reworking by Alex Neri on the flip. Jonathan Peters “Music” Ultra USA 12 – Latest single from Jonathan Peters is clearly inspired by the classic by Peaches & Herb with its warm, energetic disco-house production, with the bonus of the vocal breaking down into a cover of Kool & The Gang’s “Celebration” in one section. For those who need a chunkier, less vocal version a Techno mix is provided on the flip. Peter Presta “Sensation” Tribal SPA 12 – New Spanish only reworking by Mario Ochoa on this release that samples the famous female “Ultimate Seduction” vocal line, with Ochoa providing a dark, chunky progressive tinged tribal orchestration. Also includes the original version in Presta’s signature production style. Barbara Streisand “Night Of My Life” Columbia USA 12 – The one and only returns to the spotlight on this massive new single, with vocal talents brought to the forefront and in the hands of Junior Vasquez a mix that is the embodiment of circuit house anthem is the result, as Vasquez perfectly captures the passion and power of La Barbara. Remixes from LEX and John Luongo on the flip provide more subdued, classically HiNRG interpreations. T-Street f/Izora Armstead “Keep On Runnin” Stop & Go ITA 12 – Featuring one of the former Weather Girls, this is a powerful bigroom Italian house production that will get the hands in the air with its tough, energetic disco-tinged orchestration that serves as the perfect platform for Ms Armstead’s vocal. Todd Terry f/Jocelyn Brown & Martha Wash “Something Goin On 2005” Manifesto ENG 12 – New 2005 remix of this classic vocal house anthem from 1997 with two very different interpretations, as Dancing DJs go for the bigroom HiNRG sound while Kenny Hayes provides a funky mid-tempo classic house mix. Both perfectly integrate the famous vocals. Ty Tek “Feel My Fire” Distraekt ENG 12 Part 1 and Part 2 – In its original form a funky, chunky tech-tinged house with a sultry female vocal, disc one also includes a more uplifting disco-tinged production by Da Groovemakers while disc two features a massive dark tribal-progressive reworking from Piliavin & Zimbardo and a chunky reworking from Rick Pier O’Neil. Trance & Progressive Dream Dance Alliance “Bells Of Heaven” 7th Sense GER 12 – Uplifiting Teutonic trancer with haunting carillon bell samples and a haunting male spoken vocal hook woven into the waves of melodic synth and driving rhythm lines. Includes a fully instrumental version on the flip. Iio “Kiss You’ White USA 12 Promo – The latest offering from Iio is another classic production featuring haunting female vocals and hypnotic orchestration. For the trance floors there is a massive floor-filling rework from George Acosta and a more refined Dutch-influenced remix by Teemu, while house floors are ably cared for by a stunning remix by Peter Bailey. Robert Plant “The Enchanter” Sanctuary ENG 12 Promo – UNKLE on the mix for the latest single from the veteran rocker, integrating Plant’s catchy vocal performance into a hypnotic, spacious yet energetic progressive house orchestration. Includes both full vocal and dub versions. Kay Stone “Alone” Breeze GER 12 – Anthemic trance pick for the week with waves of melodic synth, driving rhythm lines and a haunting, distant female vocal hook worked into the production.
