this is from last year..... Babylon's Kiss -------> AFTERHOURS! New York City, NY- After yours it’s afterhours…the Babylon’s Kiss party returns! Come 5am New Year’s Day 2005, dance on over to the warm & seductive environs of Babylon’s Kiss. The sexy underground dance party for the gay, str8 and everything in-betweens who wish to depart from the usual festive fair. Produced in association with man-about-town, Oscar Cinema, the party promises to set off your new year on the right foot. Visual stimulants will be provided by interior decorator Linda Morando, Go-Go dancers will also shake up their fair share. This is a legal event for which a special liqour license has been acquired so...a fully stocked cash bar will be open all morning/day! Those legendary bowls of fruit will on hand as well as other surprises and music giveaways throughout the morning/day. A signature soundtrack of the deep, dark, tribal kind will be provided by Freddy Valerio & Lunic. The function starts @ 5am and ends…. well we’ll let you decide that part! for more information on location & admission please email leeonakim@hotmail.com or call 718.807.5672 Lunic Chalking up year 17 behind the decks, you best believe dj/producer Lunic has some special beats ready for yo’ azz. He’s appeared in just about every notable venue NYC has had since 1987 including Danceteria , Vinyl, Limelight, Centro-fly, the Bank, Sullivan Room, Tunnel, to name but a few. Legendary underground parties like XK & One Step Beyond cannot be mentioned without highlighting his musical contributions. Most recently, Lunic appeared in the Dominican Republic @ Barcode Nights Vol.1 alongside John Selway & David Hollands. His productions (seven to date) have appeared on MFS-berlin, Soul Sauce Recordings, Sifted Recordings & One Step Beyond Records and have caught the attention of Corvin Dalek, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, Randall Jones, Terry Francis, Junior Vasquez, Eric Morillo, Balance Record Pool & dj Vibe, and that’s just some of the bigger dogs! 2005 will have Lunic releasing an independent full length artist album, so keep those to the floor and listen for the rumble! Freddy Valerio A local favorite that gets the crowd pumpin’ every single time with his tribalistic grooves DJ/Producer Freddy Valerio is no stranger to the turntables or the Babylon’s Kiss party. Spinning wax since the early 90’s Freddy is celebrating his current release “Soul of Being” on One Step Beyond records which has been charted on the Balance Record Pool chart and is receiving support from notable DJs the world over. His “Musika” track (co-produced w/ Oscar Cinema) is floating around dj booths & has been receiving support from DJs Vibe & Merritt. To boot, Freddy is currently in his Brooklyn studio tailoring & tweekin’ some special edits and remixes to fit the Babylon’s Kiss vibe, and feel them we will! Late January 2005 has Freddy returning to the shores of the Dominican Republic to appear alongside DJs Vibe, Antranig, David Hollands & Wilson Santos @ the One Step beyond House Music Festival.
