LISA LASHES FINED FOR POSSESSING ECSTASY
Lisa Lashes, aka Lisa Dawn Rose-Wyatt, has been fined for possessing Ecstasy by a New Zealand court, but she says she accepted the tablets from a fan to avoid offence.
According to a report in the New Zealand Herald, Lashes was stopped at Auckland Airport on her way to perform at the Slinky dance party and was found to have two pink Ecstasy tablets. She told police fans often gave her drugs, which she usually accepted to avoid offence and later threw away. This time she forgot to throw them away.
She pleaded guilty in Manukau District Court, but was not convicted and avoided a criminal record because the judge thought it would hinder her ability to travel and work. She was ordered to pay to the Salvation Army and to prosecuting authorities.
