who here wears contacts????

im thinking of getting some and have heard conflicting opinions from my friends who have them. some say they are the best thing since sliced bread, others say its a big pain in the booty. im pretty sceptical about sticking something in my eyeeball, but im sick of spending a small fortune on prescription sunglasses and losing them all the time. what do u guys think??? what are the best brands out there...im thinking of acuvue2.

think of it like jumping in the ocean. In the beginning its sucks, but once your in for a little, you start to love it.

I don't see what the big deal is; I've worn them since I was 13 yo, which was 13 years ago. Never had a problem.

Glasses are just too uncomfortable for me, especially in the summertime. They won't stay on my nose! Unless you find a nice pair of glasses w/one of those "complete set of glasses for $200!" deals, contacts are *much* cheaper.

I wear Optima FW, which is made by Bausch & Lomb. Extended wear, dispose of every other week.

I have been wearing contact lenses for the past 13 years and at first I would probably say that it was a bit of a nuisance, but it has just become a part of my daily routine. It is the same as brushing your teeth before you go to bed - just add another five minutes. I love them - I never wear glasses anymore.

Also, no matter what type of contact you get.......make sure that you take them out every night - you need to let your eyes breath.
