Intro

Right now is the perfect time to get out of hibernation. The nights are
still long and there's a lot going on in the city. Whether you go out to
see or to be seen, I have a feeling the club scene is going to be intense
this summer. Don't be the one that had to hear about it second-hand. Stake
your territory early and be in the know before the madness begins. Pick
three different clubs for three different nights and pay them a visit,
starting tonight...

DJ Contest

DJ's - the final date for submitting your demos is this Friday, February
11. Be sure to get them to us by then. mailto:djcontest@clubnyc.com for
information.

As far as entrance to the club, the regular price will be $25, guestlist
cost will be $20, and advance purchase through the ClubNYC site is only
$15. For advance purchase, call us at 212.843.2400 x262. Payment can be
made with Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. This will place your
name on a special list so that you do not have to pay at the door and also
will not have to wait on the regular line. To place your name on the

The details for the party itself are as below:

We now have the venue confirmed for the DJ contest. It will take place at
Exit (the city's largest club!).

DJs, you will be spinning from a DJ stand setup by one of our sponsors on
the stage. The opening DJ will be spinning from the main DJ booth, as
will the winner of the contest at the end of the night! We also will be
sponsoring parties in all 4 rooms upstairs. Any of you DJs that spin
hiphop, disco, jungle, or similar genres, be sure to contact us as we are
looking for DJs to spin the night away in those rooms.

For those of you that were able to attend our DJ spinoff last year, you
know that this is a good party. We are seeking high caliber DJs for this
event, so if you think you have what it takes, then here are the details:

- the contest will take place in NYC on Friday, the 25th of February and
will act as the closing party for the Silicon Alley Festival (ie big
publicity)
- 8 DJs will be selected to compete
- prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners
- there will be 5 judges, ranging from professional DJs and club
celebrities
- entrants are asked to submit a tape or CD, with a maximum length of 45
minutes
- the type of music can be anything ranging from house to trance,
anything with a 4/4
- entries can be submitted until Friday, February 11th at 5pm
