Intro

I believe in an afterlife, and it's not what happens when you die. Your
afterlife is what you do with your time when you're freed from
obligations - your Wednesday night after work, your Sunday afternoon,
your statutory holiday. You know there's something going on, and ClubNYC
will help you find what you crave. Don't suppress it. You're off the
clock, off the hook, and ready to do and be something different -
something more you. It's not always possible to make who you are and
what you do co-exist in synchronicity. Until that time comes, choose an
identity, pick an event, and I'll see you in the afterlife.

Steven Lewis Leaves Life

The Bleeker Street club Life has lost promotional director Steven Lewis.
Life has been closed since January 1, and was supposed to reopen in late spring.
But it may not be able to now. Lewis will now be working for Spa, a new club
opening in April. Currently under the name of the Key Club, the venue will be
closing at the beginning of March for renovations and open in April under the name
of Spa. It is owned by David Marvisi, who also owns the city's largest nightclub,
Exit.

Documentary of Larry Levan

Your help is needed in finishing this film!

'Maestro', a two year plus effort focusing on the roots and beliefs from
those that were part of the underground dance beginnings is a feature film
documentary that filmmaker Josell has undertaken. He has walked the
streets, visited the clubs, interviewed the main inspirations, and is still
in the process of bringing those magical moments to film.

Maestro is close to post-production and will be winding down in February
2000. The production team needs your help in providing any pictures, video,
film, membership cards or anything related to The Paradise Garage, Better
Days, The Gallery, The Inferno, The Warehouse or The Loft.

Maestro presents an in-depth segment about the Legendary Larry Levan.
Josell is also looking for pictures and/or articles of Larry Levan’s death
or memorial. Providing any material of course would be at your discretion
and would help re-develop his momentous days, as his spirit lives in us
forever. They also need your input as to what you would like to be captured in
this documentary. The Maestro will be screened in Europe, Asia, Africa, North and
South America through the film festival circuits.

Your input is of the utmost importance to the final production in February 2000.
The producers can be reach either by email at Manolito161@hotmail.com or
exodus154@hotmail.com or by phone at 212.894.3701 Ext. 7119.

'Without Music, there’s no future.'
