How much do barbacks make?

so i'm thinking of getting a side job barbacking around central jersey/shore to help pay for school

anyone know how much they make and how good/bad this job is on avg .. i know this depends on the night you work and the place but i'm just looking to get a general idea

You usually make 15% of the bartenders' tips plus a shift pay so it all depends on how busy the place is.

Very true. I barbacked for Fridays during busy friday or saturday nights and I would make a little over 100 per night. It's not terrible. And once the crowd dies down, you are the first to be cut.
