Ella’s Soft Opening Gathers Rave Reviews

It’s about time someone brought back a good old fashioned piano bar to our city.* Gallery Bar Partners Josh & Jordan Boyd along with Darren Rubell (cousin of Steve Rubell), hosted a “soft” opening of their new spot on Avenue A, Ella, and we’ve heard several reports of rave reviews this morning.



Apparently the downstairs which will be the hotspot for vip private performances from local pianists, is the place to strive to get into, though the upstairs bar area was packed last night with “one of the most tolerable crowd I’ve seen out in Manhattan in awhile” [Via tipster]

We can’t wait to visit the space, designed by, Carlton Varney, (the Hotel Carlyle) for some old school Hollywood glamour in the LES.
