This Friday (04/19), GBH presents John Acquaviva and a birthday
celebration for Carl Kennedy in the main room. John Acquaviva began his
international career in 1989 with Richie Hawtin by founding the world
renowned Plus 8 Records. He is well known for his vast record collection
of over 55,000 pieces of vinyl, spanning a rather significant period of
club music, and he is admired by many DJs for his musical knowledge and
technical skill; he has the uncanny ability to work any dancefloor into a
frenzy, no matter who is on it. Carl Kennedy came to New York from the US
three years ago, and since then has headlined at numerous clubs in the
city. He has recently toured America, Australia and Asia - but still
managed to hold down his residency at GBH where he spins once a month where
he is known for playing funky, soulful, sexy house. This Friday is his
birthday, so come down and give it up for the big guy. Downstairs in the
Pinky, Mark Kay and JazzyNice plays hip hop and classics. Tapioca room,
