There’s a huge global musical shift in the EDM scene in this post-9/11, recession-ravaged world of ours. As a reaction to the overly serious progressive sound, comes the spunkier, retro-but-current electroclash sound.

And with their street roots firmly grounded, drum ‘n’ bass and breakbeat have exploded over the past year, as they were often given second-class status at raves and clubs over the past decade. Not anymore. The 4-to-the-flour beats of the ‘90s may be yielding to a choppier, more eclectic sound.
