CurlyLocks
“Philadelphia’s Best Kept Secret”
Philly's Best Kept Secret is no longer a secret. CurlyLocks and the FederationSound have captured the Caribbean culture in the City of Brotherly Love and New York as well as in Jamaica. First receiving the 2004/2005-carnival expo award for #1 reggae DJ in Philadelphia, as well as the microphone hype man and budding music producer for FederationSound. His voice is so loved by people, that after doing a voice over reel as a favor for his friends over at Expansion Team, he received callbacks to do television commercial voice over ads for numerous company giants, from Sprite Remix Aruba jam to Best Buy and quickly became a member of the Screen and Actors Guild.

With 16 years in the industry, CurlyLocks started off as a rapper and DJ in Philadelphia and rocked parties with greats such as, Jazzy Jeff, Fresh Prince, EST, Cash Money, the Beastie Boys, Salt-N-Pepper and many more. On the reggae scene he has traveled to the Caribbean countless times thru out his career and worked along side reggae legends such as Beres Hammond Luciano, Bounty Killer, T.O.K, Sean Paul, Vybz Kartel, Capleton and more.
From holding the most desired reggae nights in Philadelphia with weekly residency at Filo's, Genesis & Omni night clubs, to rocking shows and concerts at Cavanaugh’s (formerly Katmandu), Electric Factory, Kahunaville and more, CurlyLocks delivers the sweetest Caribbean as well as hip-hop and R&B sounds to a packed house.

CurlyLocks is one part that forms Federation Sound, which is comprised of 4 distinguished members: Kenny Meez, Max Glazer, Disco D., and CurlyLocks. Collectively this incredible crew is the driving force that has been bridging the gap between Caribbean culture and America. Their music reverberates all over the globe with a monthly residency at Jamaica's hottest spot, Quad and as they travel the world dropping the sickest dancehall reggae and hip-hop reggae vibes. Having been responsible for countless productions and remixes such as Track 10 on 50 cents Massacre album entitled “Ski Mask Way”, "Crazy In Love" remix featuring Jay-Z, Beyonce & Baby Cham, "Yeah" remix with Usher & Baby Cham, "Move Your Body” remix with Nina Sky & Vybz Kartel as well as the Grammy nominated frontin remix featuring Jayz, Pharell, Vybz Kartel and Wayne Marshall on Def Jamaica/Def Def Jam and many more, this is not someone you want to miss. Pick up some mixes, turn on the radio or television or pick up a magazine from Fader, Vibe mag, Mtv.com or Rolling Stone, you will surely find that the best kept secret is out and in your ears.
