Where are your favorite hott spots in Philly?

Hey Everyone!

I always see people looking in the forums, but never posting. So I am starting a few new threads to get some conversations rolling. I am sure a lot of the people on this board that have been active for a while will post up some responses.. but I would also like to hear from the newer members in Philadelphia. Philadelphia is alive & kicking so I am sure there is all kinds of stuff that people want to know about. I'll start it off.

Where are your favorite spots in philly?

I have a TOP 3:

1. Lounge 125
2. Emerald City
3. Shampoo Nightclub

I am usually up around those spots, mostly because they cater to both hip-hop AND EDM, and they are pretty well organized clubs... But other places I enjoy getting into are Club 27, Chrome Nightclub, Tikki Bobs, Vesuvios.

Any good experiences or questions from members (New or Old School) about those clubs & bars? I wanna hear what people think of hott spots in Philly and see if there is anything I can help out with! Post up any other spots if you know em!

i went to shampoo last night to a foam party... there wasnt a ton of people at first... but the foam was the best ever! at times there wernt a ton of people in the foam area but me an my friends were goin nuts and lovin it. the hot tub was pretty cool too..

Sundae, Shakedown, Mojito... not venues, but monthlies/weeklies you need to check out.

Chrome has a sweet new party going down every friday on the decks....

17 to enter... 21+ to drink. $10 bucks to walk in. Q102, Clubplanet.com, PhillyDanceScene.com, Chrome Nightclub, HotGirlsPhilly.com will all be in attendence. I would check that out if your looking for a Hip-hop party.

Couple of years back, I went to a club called, "Palmers"..I moved to nj now..does anyone know that this club still exists and doing good? Would like to visit once a while....

jeremey is right. Denim is always a blast. Z-bar or the old deco is really fun.

I'm gunna check out Pulse now. sounds like a good time.

I posted this in another thread... but I might as well update this thread I started... cause nightlife scenes change like the direction of the wind.

With emerald city closed now... Here is what I'm loving about philly:

what's the bigest club -- Shampoo Nightclub for EDM, Chrome for hip-hop.

hottess girls -- Club 27, Denim & Dreamz. Shampoo too, but usually younger.

best (club) beats..(trance,house, ect...)
-- This one is highly debated... But I'll give ya my favorites for EDM.
1. Shampoo Nightclub -- by far the best sound system
2. Fluid -- Josh Wink once a month and a TON of other great DJs
3. Lounge 125. Afterhours, good sound and siKK beats.

nicest lounge -- Lounge 125 by far. Hot girls. great DJs. Afterhours. NYC esque.
age range for the club you talk about... 21+ shampoo is 18+ but still fun.

fashion crowd? Anything Old City.

famose people spot? Usually South Street or Delaware Ave.

best bar? -- Tikki Bobbs or McFaddens. Both are mad fun.

best hiphop spot... -- I'm a big fan of Club 27. Q102 Saturdays with DJ 54.
--- Saturdays are ALWAYS packed with women. Dreamz is fun too.

best philly resident and where he spins.... depends on what style...
--- Trance: DJ Tommy Boy... He is everywhere. haha.
--- House: Mark Pappas or the Deep Nights. Fluid & the warehouse.
--- Techno: Tattoo Detectives ... Lounge 125
--- DNB,Breaks, House: Jay Shok ... God's Basement, Transit... etc
--- Hiphop -- DJ Amaze, DJ 54, DJ Taiga... Shampoo & Club 27

Now again this is all IMO... But I can honestly say that none of those spots will disappoint. The new penthouse bar opens in FEB from what I hear. Thats gunna be the new spot in philly in a few. But, always check out Lounge 125, Fluid, Shampoo, Dreamz, CEBU, i know I am forgetting a few. but thats it for now.
