  1. I checked the place out last Thursday and it's definately worth checking out. It's a little on the small side, but the futuristic monitors on the walls, very nice sound system, and cheap drinks way more than make up for it. Hope to see you there. ------------------ *************************I got to thank god for the music. *************************
  2. And crommy will die just that much happier now. ------------------ *************************I got to thank god for the music. *************************
  3. Mabye this is lifes way of saying that you, and or all of us that are going, should stay permanently in Amsterdam. A coffeeshop can be a very profitable business venture if we do it right. Any way don't worry about it D, we will live it up while were there, and then deal with reality when we come back. You are cooming to Amsterdam regardless so you might as well just put all the bad shit behind you and have fun. Easier said than done, but we'll get you through it. Your herbal remedies are on me for the week! ------------------ *************************I got to thank god for the music. *************************
  4. I myself have never been but it is high up on my list, mabye head there this summer. From what I hear it is very seasonal, and the time to go is the the summer, similar to Ibiza. Let me know more details about the place. ------------------ *************************I got to thank god for the music. *************************
  5. I must admit I heard Seaman drop this track a few weeks back at Twilo and I almost lost it! What an amazing production. Planet Funk - Chase the Sun What a song!!! ------------------ *************************I got to thank god for the music. *************************
  6. I'll be there for this one. Have't done a S&D, well in this case just D, night in a very long time. To put it lightly...I can't fucking wait. Be prepared for the sounds of Diggers dark progressive beats to swallow us whole and wreak havoc on our brains. C ya under the disco ball. I actually may do a meetup this time around. ------------------ *************************I got to thank god for the music. *************************
  7. I don't know.....it isn't being billed as another 7 hour set. I think it's time for me to recoup some of my lost wages. ------------------ *************************I got to thank god for the music. *************************
  8. Big disappointment from the rave front I must say. I got there at the beginning of Spacegirl's set, and was thoroughly disapointed. Whether she was creating it on the spot or not, it just sucked. She had ZERO mixing skills, and it plain old hurt my ears. The same was true for every dj there with the exception of Dave ralph. Ralph put together a fairly well programmed set, givin the time table he had to work with, and dropped some decent tracks. Whack Ass Mutherfuckers was a pleasent suprise, and had me shaking my ass all over the place. The DJ's after him wrecked about every song they dropped with garbage mixing. My question is have the rave DJ's really droped in terms of skills or have I become more educated and spoiled with international talent? Either way I will be staying away from the rave scene for a while. ------------------ *************************I got to thank god for the music. *************************
  9. Woh, upper west side, I haven't stepped foot up there in like ages! But this is as good a reason as any to go. C ya there. Aaron I'll e-mail you my list. ------------------ *************************I got to thank god for the music. *************************
  10. I'll be there. C ya under the disco ball kids!!! ------------------ *************************I got to thank god for the music. *************************
  11. I for one thoroughly enjoyed Howells set. His programming and track selection took me on a journey from start to finish. Never once was there an abrupt change in music, but a controlled and graceful build over the course of the night. Beautiful I must say. Though I must admit, for me, the music that Lawler laid down two weeks ago had much more of an edge and really made me move. Don't get me wrong, I loved Howells set and the music he played was nothing less than beautiful, but it didn't make me dance the way Lawler did. I left Twilo around 6:30 or 7 feeling thorougly blissful and content. To top off the night, myself and some friends hired a limo parked outside Twilo to drive us "back to mine" for afterhours. Fantastic night I must say. ------------------ *************************I got to thank god for the music. *************************
  12. Beers from Belgium are among the best in the world, I went there a few years ago exclusively to drink. My favorite is Chimay, but they are all fantastic. Bars in NYC with great beer menus: d.b.a on first ave.(also has a great scotch menu if any of you like) Peculiar Pub on Bleeker d ------------------ *************************I got to thank god for the music. *************************
  13. Wouldn't miss this night for anything. C ya at 1. ------------------ *************************I got to thank god for the music. *************************
  14. Fuck yea! I'll be with crommy and others in Amsteram two weeks before, where we will see them and others rock it in my second favorite city on the planet. I'll be sure to post a review. Had the priveledge of seeing Warren in Ibiza this summer and have been dying to catch him again. But now not once but twice. Bring it on!!! ------------------ *************************I got to thank god for the music. *************************
  15. I run a Marantz receiver (dolby digital, thx, etc). Quality is excellent, has pre amp outputs for ALL channels including subs to upgrape to external amps, on screen programming, etc. Really a great manufacturer and they also make very cool remotes similar to sony. In my opinion stay away from Sony, it's to focused on gadgets and features rather than on pure high fidelity sound. In terms of speakers I run klipsch all around. I am a big fan of horn tweeters and Klipsch has most of them beat, definately a great bank for the buck. It's the 15" sub with 800 watt amp that ties it all together. My neighbors love my music, well come to think of it I really don't give them a choice. ------------------ *************************I got to thank god for the music. *************************
