fyi...I think Q sats is one of the best nights goin right now. Ive only been able to shoot down 4 or 5 times...And ive known Josh even b4 the "twinkie the kid" days...when he was "selakta JC" he plays quality stuff with cross-genre'ing but isnt all over the place... Think carl cox playing with danny howells records. I cant wait to get back in there!!!! as far as the DIP...well I went once...and I dont even know who the dj was... But seeing how Im straight edge & 30 yrs old now 4am and chugging proggy tribal just couldnt keep my interest. it was mixed pretty much perfectly & programmed well, but between the pioneer effector and the tracks being played and looped for so long i couldnt keep interest... but i know alot of people are into that sort of thing, not saying its wrong, I just like to see alot of action back there. who knows though...maybe I can get a sitter this weekend!

Well this one of my first trips up to the old tilt. and the venue is so sexxy. I walked in about 330. the line antics were a bit much... but what can u do about that? caught the last 1/2 hour of joshcarls set, which was nothing shy of siiiiiiiiiiiik. it was so great to hear such killer beats, and not know one of them. rather than hearing the same songs everywhere. so, yeah, our beloved moderator here, absolutly rocked it. im goin to need some track ids from you!!! the mood at that point was down right grungy... the first 1/2 of osheens set was a bit sporatic.... but then settled down... timdeluxe, iio, stuff like that... it was like they transfered the playlist from the roxy to 3am. in my opinion...that is NOT afterhours music... and i think by 5am the crowd agreed. nevermind the stilt-walkers....that was a gas!!!! i took off, so im kinda upset that i missed the other 2 djs on the bill. but i was spent come 5am, and the "floor commrodery" had dissapeared through the 4-5 set... my advice, maybe 2 djs a night.... and after lookin at next weeks roster... KEEP THE ROOKIES AT THE SMALL ROOMS!!! all these young guys that arent good enough, YET, for a room like tilt. thats why the place empties out at 5/6 i dont wanna pay 20.00 to see guys that are pretty much learning... Id rather see a resident who can rock it weekly... its all contsructive Id hate to see a great night fall off.
