1. who did this new Mix, of the 80's Journey Song?
2. it might have been Mix the Master-Potatoheads, can someone confirm
3. Hey Tempkid, Tempts was so good, that your sorry hung over ass could not make it to my engagement party, which did not even start till 3 on Sunday. I even made you those cds. That's real fucked up Tempkid, real fucked up.
4. All these Tempkid stories are great, but the truth is he is calm compared to his younger pre-tempts days. I grew up and went to high school with tempkid and none of this summers tales even make into the top 5 tempkid drunk stories. 5)Punching a beer bottle abyss breaking it in half and cutting open his whole hand, while threating to kick some dudes ass. Then he keeps on dancing bleeding all over himself. 4)At a 5-day bash at his own house, he got so drunk he was kicked out and then broke back in using a brick. 3)After being cut off by the bartender at a local bar, he tried to choke the bartender and still to this day tempkid can't understand why they won't let him back in that bar. 2)Last Year at Tempts he lost his MAC card and spent all his money, so he called 911 saying he lost his atm card. 1)While drinking a steel, the then underage tempkid was aproched by a Sea Side cop. Not knowing what to do tempkid pushed the cop on the ground and ran, only to get beat up half the Sea Side police force a block later. After bailing himself out and walking back to Sea Side, he still made it to XS that Nite. Just warn all his new friends you ain't seen nothing yet
5. Follow me: Spiritual Project, also Robbie Tronco Tracks.
6. I agree with all these responces, my real intrest in this topic is the club I work at. I have seen hip-hop music hurt the club a lot. It used to be a 2 room rock and dance club that changed to a 2 room hip hop and dance club. All though the people were very different rock & dance seemed to mix Ok, but when the hip hop started the crowds got smaller every nite(it was a pretty nice hip room too with a good Dj). It seemed to me that the hip hop people chased away the dance crowd. When the club was just dance or rock and dance the place would be packed and thier was almost no fights or problems, now with hip hop the place can be almost empty and their's one problem after another.
7. I am a fan of all kinds of music from trance, house, remixed pop and even Hip hop, but seems to me when hip hop is envolved it draws a real thugish crowd. A lot of clubbers seem to enjoy some hip hop, but the true hip hop followers seem to wreak nice dance clubs, with there attitude and look. Some of the better Jersey Clubs offer almost no Hip Hop music(Joey's,Hunka Bunka,Metro,Shore Clubs). My ques: Is there a place for Hip Hop music in a good Jersey dance club?
8. I did not compare the Place to Morristown, I said between Morristown and Del Water Gap. The South City Grill Is even farther then Morristown.
9. I was one of the 3 Djs at the Place this past Sunday, it was good for a teen night over 500 kids came and they all seemed to enjoy the "Place" and music.
10. To all you knocking the "Place", I understand where your coming from, the "Place" has been very bad for the last year, but it has been getting better every week for a couple months know. Its a good "Place" to go if you want to stay local. I would like to hear someone name a better niteclub between the Del. Water Gap and Morristown. P.S. Flizz your spelling gives you away!
11. I agree the Place has made one stupid move after another, till now. I am currently Dj'ing there on fri and sat and the music is the best it has ever been. The new staff is great, every thing is in Place but a good crowd, being local and cheap(only $5 over 21)its worth a shot. Hey tempkid I thought we were boys, that's messed up you seemed to be having a good time there last friday, you said the music and girls were real good. 12. Just letting everyone know that the PLACE(formerly known as the Madhouse)in Hopatcong is a good "place" to go. The club has undergone many renovations, making it the best local club around. It's 18 to party & 21 to drink for everyone, only $5 to get in(more if under 21). The club offers Rock nite on thursdays with such bands as Big Orange Cone and Last Nite on Earth(playing 12/28/00), and Fridays and Saturdays offers two clubs under one roof, the main room offers the best in dance music(vocals, progressive and house), the other side offers hip-hop. The club is under new management and has improved so much in the last couple of weeks, including a newer and more likable staff and new DJ's. Anyone gonn'a give the Place anthor chance, give me some feedback. p.s. New Years eve at Place 9pm-5am, open bar (the whole nite) only $40.00. The main room DJ David Lee, DJ dynmite, DJ J.,Hip Hop DJ Nogood.
