  1. If the can says "chicken of the sea" then why is their tuna in it??? If they are called Buffalo wings, does that mean Buffalo's have wings??? I didn't think they had any??? If a tree collapses in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound??? How much wood could a woodchick suck if a woodchick could suck wood?????!?!
  2. hahah same thing but we say "Bob" "What about Bob?" "Is Bob coming out tonight?" "I'm gonna go find Bob" "Lets go talk to Bob"
  3. yeah seriously......i remember 1-2 years ago this place had a great vibe and was bringing in big names. It has kind of been out of the news lately, so to speak.
  4. last night was UNBELIEVABLE!!!! SICK SICK BEATS.... What was the first track he dropped????? The vibe was way cool, peeps i didn't even know were shakin my hand and huggin me and shit...hahaha First time I have heard Sasha, and man was he ON POINT. it was ownage. oh yeah DID ANYONE SEE THE LINE FROM AROUND 9PM UNTIL MIDNIGHT!?!?!??!?! DOWN THE ENTIRE BLOCK!!!!!! that is really my only complaint but its bound to happen. lone to get in was about an hour, then the coat check line was about a half hour, but atleast you could drink in that line:) aaaahhhhhhhhhh good times, good times...
  5. did it ever occur to anyone that maybe this cat that says he is only spinning 2 hours is a promoter for another club.......the guy only has 8 posts as of right now:rolleyes: Sasha will be on longer than 2 hours.....he isn't Oakenfold:blown:

  7. Where are some good lounges to go for happy hour or from 9-12 before i head over to the main events for T EVE. looking for trendy, upscale, but not snobbish. thanks.
  8. You think thats bad, check this story out from a fan who wrote a letter in to Oakie, if this is true I feel really bad for this guy on blowing almost a couple $1000 just to see him. Though I question if this crap is even true, but also you have to take in consideration Oakies following abroad. "Dear sir/madam, Firstly i would like to thank you all at Gatecrasher for giving me the best night of my life! What started off as the most expensive nightmare off all time turned good in the end! I was travelling to London on friday 30th May to see Paul Oakenfold play at Heaven. Me, my girlfriend and 2 other friends set off from where we live, Fort William (550 miles from London). The plan was simple, drive to Glasgow, get the 13:40 train from glasgow to euston, go to Heaven for a top night and get the 07:55 train from euston back to glasgow, then there was just the 105 mile drive back to fort william. Easy! HOW WRONG WE WERE!!!!!!!!! The 13:40 train was cancelled! no problem, there was one at 15:36, we would get that and still make it on time. That train broke down at Killmarnock! We were still there at 18:40, virgin were sending another engine from glasgow to take the train to london, estamated time of arrival in london, 02:30 if we were lucky! We decided to get off the train at Killmarnock and go back to glasgow for a night out. I was not a happy bunny!!!!!! I wanted to see Oakey! I new he was only playing a few dates in the uk this year and i wanted to see all off them. I drove the 1100 mile round trip just to see him at Homelands the week before, i wasnt going to let virgin trains spoil this one. I told the others that i would pay for flights if they were up for going, we went for it. We got a taxi from Killmarnock to Glasgow, on the way i phoned Glasgow airport and enquired about 4 flights. There was a flight at 20:35 to heathrow but the return flight was from gatwick, that was ok, i asked how much, £731 for the 4 flights........I thought f**k it, am not missing this night! i booked the flights and got there with 10 mins to spare. We arrived at heathrow just before 10 o'clock, got washed and changed at the airport when my girlfriend informed me that she burst the zip in her black knee high boots. Nightmare! i decided to put the bags in left luggage and try and sort something on the way. When we were putting the bags away i spotted black flight socks, so i cut the toes off and put them over the top of the boots. Couldnt even tell they were on, result! It was now 23:10, still at heathrow, i wasnt sure if we would get entry into the club after midnight. The taxi driver at heathrow said it would take 40 mins to get there, we would make it! We just got passed Trafalger square when THE TAXI BROKE DOWN!!!!! I was ready to cry!! He got us a another taxi and we got there at 23:55. At f**kin last!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is where my night turned good! I had 2 spare tickets and asked someone at the door if they could help me get rid of them, i got full price for them and i thanked him for the only good thing that has happend to me that day. He asked me why, and i told him my nightmare jouney from hell. He turned out to be the manager of the club, and gave us V.I.P. passes for the club since we had such a nightmare. When we were in the v.i.p.bar he saw me and introduced me to the Gatecrasher promoter! He thanked me for making such an effort and took time to talk to me for a while. I was well chuffed! I then went through to the main room to watch the man himself, the reason i made the effort, Oakey was superb!!!!" Its kinda funny they actually put this on his site too considering how outlandish it really is when you think about it.
  9. did he do the "open arms" pose about 25 times? classic oakie, gotta love the guy. i wasnt there but i bet he was putting his arms over the centro dj booth and it probably looked similar to a U.N. aid package handout to 3rd world villagers. Thats cool he spun for longer than two hours. Any one have a tracklist/ recognize any tracks? (I'm sure)
  10. that bjork track was probably the infusion mix of pagan poetry...diggers usually rocks tracks at his gig that he plays on his kiss100 shows every friday. If you havent listened to this show def check it out. He does a running tracklist throughout the show and plus puts the tracklists on his website. Does anyone know if he dropped Infusion-Legacy (junkie xl mix)? i know older track but still. Was he spinning a lot of breaks? Or mixing it up a little? Here is the closest i got to digweed last time he was at centro:
  11. Hypnotiq is a mixture of vodka, cognac and fruit juices. It definately isnt the cristal of liqour, lol, thats bullshit. You wanna good drink, hit up a chilled shot of Tarantula tequila, same color but gets you drunk quicker, plus its a lot smoother. I love also how a couple years back jermain dupree had a line in one of his songs abhout "a corona wit da grenadine", next thing you know all these posers order it at the bar i work at:rolleyes:
  12. Infusion - Legacy (Junkie XL) guitar riff is siiiiick! New Order - Someone like You (G&D Mix) Konkrete - Law unto myself As the rush comes And for some weird reason... The soprano's theme....
  13. humate - choose life (thomas schumacher remix)
  14. That was the Gabriel and Dresden Mix of Southern Sun that he dropped. However, I thought the roof was gonna blow off when he dropped The day after...i love that track! First off, let me say I wasn't expecting much since everyone was saying he is starting to fall off, plus everyone saying on here how he sucked at Exit (But who gives a fuck cause EXIT blows anyway.) With that said, overall I think Oakie played a pretty sick set, I also saw him last year as well @ hammerstein. Though I thought the Hammerstein set was WAY better than his set last night....maybe it was just cause there wasn't as good of a vibe from the crowd as last year. Either way his set last night was good. I was def. feeling and especially thanks to the Bartender at the downstairs bar for hookin up the Kettle One for $5!!! Not to mention she was gorgeous as well, but back to the topic. As I was dancing my ass off last night, I couldnt help but ponder why there are so many Oakie haters. They need to step off. Don't be jealous cause Oakenfold has made it to the top. You can't deny that he changed the DJ game. Rather, he MADE the game. Thank you Oakie for a great night. 2 hour sets or not, the guy has paid his dues so the haters can all STFU. The one thing Oakie does that no other DJ does as well IMO is gradually raising the energy level of the crowd to a peak, and then he just blows off the roof by playing a track that no one expects or that fits the mood perfectly. The 'god' pose was definatly in effect last night, lol. And no shit i got there around 12 or so and there were seriously 30 people on the dancefloor downstairs and probably 50 upstairs if that....no shit. We were up on the balcony and I was watching Oakies technics:hat: and he looked up an me and my friend and gave us a shrug and looks down at the 20 people dancing, then looks back at us with a 'wtf' look on his place and we jsut shrugged back at him....kinda funny. Gotta love the praying and god pose. It inspired me to make up 'the Oakie' a new dance in which you hop side to side then fade back gradually doing the 'god' pose:laugh: All I can say is I had a great time and Estate kicks. But it was cold as hell in that place...which i guess is better than the night before at centro-fly when it was like 1000 degrees in the main room. Thanks Oakie
