  1. Hi there, Here is some updated venue info for Tel Aviv. The Zoom is now closed and Octopus now has different promoters and the crowd is way less than desirable, don't bother. Haoman 17 in Jerusalem still rocks on Thursdays, usually international lineups, just have a look at their posters which are always plastered all over Tel Aviv. Always a huge line on the door, get there early or make sure that you know someone on the door. The Haoaman's infamous AfterParties finish for the season in the summer, actually the last one is tomorrow morning ... they are done as a collective effort by 3 big promoters, the Haoman team with Yair Shaham and Shirazi. Usually they team up in the summer to do parties by the beach. TLV is definitely hot ... great lineups, nice crowd though usually packed. Thursdays are the best night. For stylish more exclusive bars check the Scene and Layla, they will usually hook you up with what is going on in the city that night ... ask the bartenders because they will have the goss! Have fun .....
  2. Hi there, Wow, this thread is really making me laugh! My Hebrew is almost non-existant but I can understand most of it and it is really funny finding an Israeli thread on this site ... Anyway, I am not Israeli but I do live in Tel Aviv and I also work in the nightlife so I can probably give some of you guys who are coming here this summer a few tips to head you in the right direction. I have this funny feeling that I know Dan, so if you are reading this, ha ha see you again this summer. Anyway, just to let you know, the nightlife here is good (if not better) enough to rival any major city in the world, yes, including NY and Miami. Like in any city, you need to know the right people who will hook you up with what's going on and get you on the door lists etc. Some basic tips for the summer are: There is a new club here which opened only a few weeks ago, it's called TLV and it will probably be the hottest club in Tel Aviv this summer. It is owned by Rael, who used to own Allenby 58 (those of you who gone to parties here will know all about THAT place ha ha ha) and Shirazi is doing the gay FFF parties there too. Alot of the old clubs have closed down or no longer what they used to be, the best idea is to meet people who are working in the nightlife to find out where the parties are. The Scene, on Allenby St, is a good bar to start with. The staff know everyone and Wednesday night is a good place to meet people in the nightlife. Anyway, hope you are all having fun .... Tel Aviv is going to be great this summer
  3. Calling all cutting-edge, innovative fashion people based in Miami or going to Miami for the WMC this year: I am part of a 2-person styling team (originally from Australia though now working in Tel Aviv) coming to Miami this March. We are going to be doing some creative fashion projects while we are there based on the story of the nightlife industry, ie: music, videos, celebrities, parties, culture, etc influencing, shaping, changing and creating fashion. We are bringing a small creative team of print journalists, stylists, photographers etc with us but are interested in working with creative people who can bring their own perceptions and innovation to our ideas. If you are interested in joining creative forces and doing some fresh new editorial work email me at raechelp@yahoo.com and for everyone else ... see you there!
