Hi, I just moved here from Lost Angeles and I have a question; Where are the guestlists/mailing lists for the parties? Not the clubs, but parties. (ie. Gotham, Black Book, etc). Upscale, bourgeois events. I'm looking for a classy alternative to Crobar, Marquee, Avalon scene where my wife an I can hang without being assholes-to-bellybuttons or stared at. What's up DC/MD/VA peeps, how are ya'll? This is Royal, that dude that travelled alot that was never really around. I'm in Lost Angeles now (since last March) living with my *wife* the blond euro [still]. I haven't been to a real club since Buzz in DC before it got shut down, so that tells you how much life is sucking here. So far I only really been to supertrendy Skybar (loud rappers bragging) and some club on Hollywood blvd (german super-techno). Other nights I just got stuck in traffic on Sunset and gave up. The weather is great here, besides the freak hailstorm at 70 degrees yesterday. Nothing much else to talk about. Oh yeah, there's no work here. So, since my department (ING Financial) is being outsourced to IBM I've applied for a job in Newark. Is that a nice place? OK I must go back to my overtime work extracting exchange email pst's for some people that are about to go to jail for SEC violations. I went driving last night (Saturday) on Sunset to show my girlfriend around Hollywood. What the hell!? I swear I saw at LEAST 10 cars showing off their tvs in their headrest (no one even in the backseat), one even had GTA III on to show everyone he had a Playstation II in it. It was reminiscent of Crenshaw from back when I was in Jr. High. I haven't seen flossin' on this level in my life. Also, how in the hell did everyone and their momma get a BMW/Mercedes/Navigator/Escalade/Hummer? Did they just give them away while I was gone? Damn I missed out!

What up peeps, I'm a recent DC retransplant to LA and I wanted to say "Hello." I'm originally from LA (I went to Dorsey High, graduated from Palmdale '95), but I haven't been around in ages. I was a regular on the DC forum until BUZZ closed and the DC scene moved up to Baltimore. I have a question, what is the LA definition of "guest list?" Does it mean; free, line skipping, VIP room, or what? Also, I like cool "out for the music, tennis shoes and t-shirt" places, but my woman is an extremely upscale Bebe/Guess/D&G wearin' euro who thinks Sasha is a girl. Is there a place that we can both have fun? Let's say Pacha and Space mixed with Fabric. Know what I'm sayin? PS: Do people still have those badass parties up in the Hllywd Hills? Where are they?

I been meaning to go to Ikea as a form of cheap entertainment (it's a mile down the street BTW). It reminds me of the Peter Pan ride at Disneyland. I can't actually buy anything there, but I can pretend that the fake sets are the many rooms in my mansion. Oh yeah, don't move to Dale City. It's hella lame here and the traffic to DC sucks really bad. It takes me nearly an hour to get to work now.

If going to Lisbon , I highly recommend Lux, Kremlin, and Champagne Room. I met Moby there, but he was a bitch. Got into some cool places when I was there for free cos the doormen thought I was with Lenny Kravitz's crew (he was in town). Oh yeah, I went AWOL when I was there and quit my job and moved in with a friend. I wasn't comng back. But Europe got old so I here I am. PEACE

Dude you are totally right, I went to the theatre (upstairs in this mall) and they are showing fuckin "Corky Romano," "Jeepers Creepers," and "Monsters Inc." This really blows. I swear I´m totally going to puke on the next waiter that serves me raw food too. And tell me why the Coke tastes like Alka Seltzer?
