  1. Anybody that has been there knows that it is the premier spot for real house music on Saturday nights, with such names like Junior Sanchez, Alex Alciera of 'Who Da Funk', Todd Gardner, Harry 'Choo Choo' Romero and many more. Hosted by resident DJ, DJ Haelmik, Destino's has made a name for it's self as that underground spot in Jersey for real house heads. No bottles and model's or doorman bullshit to deal with, just a real party spot that everybody is welcome. This Saturday night the party continues with a new one time theme party called "Go Funk Yourself". For the first time officially in the same DJ booth, the two guru's of funky house music will battle it out to see who's got the funk. The Funk Specialist DeeJay Premo (Pacha NYC) and The Funk Doktor Dave Morris (Certified Recordings) will go back2back for the first time to see who really has dat funk. As always there is no cover charge for this event and drinks will be flowing till 3am.... So Don't Miss Out On This One.....................
  2. No kinda dumb shit like that going on Thursday. Come as you are and have a good time and listen to some beats that you forgot about since then.
  3. You remember them, now you get to hear them again for the first time since the days of real clubs in NYC. This is a Real Classics party, not your tipical "classics" that everybody is still playing on the regular party. So come out and remaniss about the days when clubbing was all about the music and not where you were, who you were or if you had enough money to buy a bottle.

  5. Yes In Bloomfield. Tonight Is The Night And It's Going To Be A Good One
  6. It's All About House Music...............
  7. Wow, I haven't thought about this in years, but I do still have a piece of the masonite topsheet from the mini ramp in Tunnel, somewhere in my house. Other than that just a lot of good memories and empty condom wrappers........
  8. Thank you all for the props... I just jumped on and did my thing and I didn't think I was completely on my A game by that point of the night. One too many adult beverages waiting to get in the booth, so I wasn't totally on my mark. But hey I am my own worst critic. I have been told my off days are better than most peoples best days, but I don't beleave that personally. Either way I had a great time and hopfully I will be back with a little more notice so you all will know in advance that I am spinning, and see for yourselves.... Peace, Love & House Music Dave Morris
  9. This is the first time I have ever posted on the Philly board cause it sceems like nobody ever posts on here, but either way I felt I needed to share this with you guys. I was at Zee Bar on Friday night for thier new party called "For The Love Of House". I happen to be there to support a good friend of mine producer and fellow DJ, Todd Gardner. I just had to express my complete shock over how well the place is laid out and how great the vibe was. Being from Jersey this was not the first time I have ever partied in Philly, but it was the first time that I experienced such a great vibe and overall love of the music in a while. I highly recommend checking the spot out on Friday night, the party is in the new back room which is very intimate and pretty much a dancefloor, bar and DJ booth, what more do you need. Check it out for yourself and enjoy a great night of house music provided by some of the best in the business, and besides where else can you hear a international DJ such as Todd G. without all the drama of the big venue bullshit. Just a thought I wanted to share with my Philly neighbors
  10. Very good points Prime, but I think that it has a lot to do with the people that actually do like House Music not supporting other Jersey DJ's or different venues besides Deko. I am not saying that they shouldn't go there when there is one of the Sessions parties and come here me or somebody else. That would be retarded. What I am saying is if these people really enjoy the music and the culture it shouldn't take a big name DJ to come to Deko for them to come out. There are plenty of great DJ's that spin other venues on other nights but they will never know who they are unless they get a primetime spot @ Deko or XS or something like that. The same crowd that says that they are House music lovers will only leave their house's if the party is at Deko. Deko did a lot of work to build that party and they should be commended 100% for it, cause with out them we would have never had DJ's like Sanchez, Morillo and others even in the shit eating state. But there are a lot og great DJ right here and people just have no desire to come out and here them.
