Founded in February 2008, Killswitch is a weekly happy hour dedicated to featuring the Bay Area's finest underground techno and house talent. Founded by Stap[e DJ Javaight and Black Market Techno DJ dCOY, Killswitch has featured DJs such as Alland Byallo, Dave Aju, Jonah Sharp, Sutekh, Clint Stewart, Worthy, J.Phlip, Drumcell,Todd Sines and live PA's from Monocle, Auralism's Marc Smith, and Perla.* With the addition of new residents Mossmoss & David Siska, Killswitch has established itself as an end of the week hangout for heads, techno lovers and party people alike.* Kill off your week with the sound of the underground at Killswitch. About Alixir: Originally hailing from the East Coast, Alex, aka Alixr arrived in San Francisco in 1995 and promptly tripped over his own fate, landing face-first in a pile of rave. Feeling right at home he kicked off his shoes and stayed a while. By 2005 he'd found his way into the DJ booth and quietly began honing his skills in the art of the mix. Four years and a wide variety of gigs later, Alixr is emerging as one to watch as he sautés dancefloors with an infectious blend of funked-up basslines and seductive beats. Expect a full-body dance experience from a DJ who still believes in the power of music to open the mind, heal the body, and free the soul. About Snoek: Snoek aka That F~~king Guy has been listening to, playing and making beats since the mid 1800s. His musical influences are varied, but certainly shaped by his many years living abroad in Europe and the Middle East. Since moving to San Francisco and formally establishing GoodBadGuy with his brother and a group of like-minded DJs, he has been involved in the weekly Sick! parties, played at numerous venues throughout the city and organized the SoMa-Tech techno sessions. As a DJ he is keen to bring his own fresh take on techno to the table, delivering beats to shake asses and minds. About Javaight: David Javate aka DJ Javaight aka JV8, is a San Francisco based DJ, event promoter and writer. A veteran DJ from Washington DC and lifelong dance music aficionado, David's love has always been towards the deeper side of house and techno. Evident in his contributions to SF nightlife with the deep house night, Staple, the ground breaking techno event, Optimal, and the techno happy hour, Killswitch, David continues to showcase deeper styles with a DJ style which acknowledges house and techno's pioneers while also welcoming today's* innovators. Showing the diversity of being able to play during different moods of the night, David always strives to take the listener on a journey, and make an audio collage which moves the mind and body.
