in other side of the news.. Knight refuses his base pay for not meeting expectations and the team underperforming! (alhtough he still is making $500,000 plus!)

the guy's a great coach, thats y he'll end up somewhere. same as bobby knight, he can kick, punch, curse and yell at anybody he wants, and he'll still end up coaching somewhere. the ncaa tourney isn't really getting me excited as is the year's past. i think all the best players jumping early to the nba is ruining the college game. it just seems to me, the days of kerry kittles vs. ray allen, or laetner vs mashburn, like those days were more action packed. (although allen and mashburn left jr year) everyones leaving freshman or soph year now. shame, shame shame.

i tottally agree with you.. that was when i was glued to the tv for college basketball.

alhtough that may be changing.. the NBA is working on a deal with the players union for a min age requirement (at least 20 yo) to enter the draft.

I can't believe harrick even gave that a-hole a chance considering as many times as that kids been arrested for sexual crimes... THE KID WILL NOT MAKE IT IN SOCIETY ANYWAYS, WHY GIVE HIM A SCHOLARSHIP?

That's what pisses me off........ if he was any other tom, dick or harry, (and not some college b-ball player), then their ass would have been in the slammer.

It's too bad that the kid turned on Harrick like that. He's a great coach..... That kids ass will get nailed in the pokey fo sheezy

In the meantime, look at Knight.... won't take his salary cuz the team didn't meet his expectations...... what a guy

How about this: don't hire coaches who've had numerous scandals. I think Fresno St (Tarkanian), St. Bonaventure (van Breda Kolff) and Georgia are learning this now.....once a cheater, always a cheater....

Harrick may be an entertaining coach to watch, and even a goot guy on the bench, but he's had recruiting and academic fraud scandals at every school where he's ever coached (why the hell do you think he left UCLA right after winning it all?)

Knight may have had scandals, but they were of a different sort....that just had to do with his temper, and if you can deal with potentially getting sued, then take that risk and hire him. As for Tark and Harrick, these schools knew they'd eventually end up on probation if they hired them as their coach. Not only do they cheat (newsflash: about 90% of major schools pay some of their athletes through boosters and have tutors do their work for them....I should know, I had that job at my school), but they're egregious enough that they get caught easily and because of that the NCAA already has an eye on them. Dumb hiring policies lead to consequences down the road....

What about the UGA players that did nothing wrong? It's so unfair to them.
