Way to go...

METS!

I was a little worried after the first couple of games of the road trip but you guys really came up clutch winning 4 of the last 5 against five great pitchers. Clemens pitched a hell of a game but my boy Piazza came through in the 9th with two outs. Hey, you never know what can happen with the NL East as bad as it is right now. Now lets not choke during this upcoming home stretch like we usually do.

If they're over .500 by July, then I'll take notice.

Why should I be supportive after all the garbage baseball that's been played by this team since 2001?

Don't get your hopes up ace, it's only May.

Easy there "Ace"...nobody is getting there hopes up over here. Trust me, I've been a Met fan too long to do that. All's I'm saying is, it's nice to see them playing good baseball since they haven't since 2001.

So what, you gonna all of a sudden start riding the Mets again if come July there at the top of the division?

I know he's not...I know that's exactly why he's not getting his hopes up because he is a huge Met's fan and shit. I'm just saying as a Met fan, since they are playing well and they are playing better than what most expected, why not show a little support for them now?

If you do that, you end up looking like a Red Sox fan by shootin off your mouth too early and open yourself up for all those "Who's in 1st now" garbage from Yankees fans that I gotta hear every fucking year

side note: I dont know what I want more out of a Red Sox World Series victory...to see my team win or to quiet them Yankees fans' chants

there is a difference though in showing a team some love and support when they finally have put out a competetive and somewhat exciting product on the field for the first time since 2000 and just spouting out Yankees suck and Jeter is gay chants

side note: WHata would redsox fans look forward too if they ever did win it all
the misery is the whole mystique of the redsox nation

...and 4 losses in a row later....they are still the same ol' Mets.

75 wins this year will be an accomplishment.
