ahahahahahahaha..... its a tough loss to swallow dude, but you got to take everything with a grain of salt...you beat SD because their PK choked bigtime...your kicker did the exact same thing.....

got to love the NFL div. playoffs....drama all around..... but you are right, their QB isnt all he's hyped to be....Jerome Bettis bailed him out....he had an outstanding game....if Roethlisberger played a game like that against a good offense team....it would have been a disaster for Pitt.....

good game guys....good game....

Makeable kick, but you can pin this one on Herm. Last week Herm watches the Chargers march right down to the Jet 20 then watches Marty hang himself by calling 3 running plays that go nowhere. This week Herm learn nothing by doing the exact same thing. I don't think a short pass would have killed them in that situation. I also think Jordan shoud have been more involved in the 2nd half.

If there is a bright side, this should officially finish Hackett....

What on earth are u talking about???

The offense did squat...no TD's!?!!?!? If they had even a PULSE, the Jets would've won easily!

Ummmm...

Bottom line is they scored 3 points on offense... Number one defense or not that's inexcusable in playoff football...

So what's your point? Winning games takes offense and defense. The defense & special teams held up their end and the offense didn't. Thus they lost. The offense has been a problem most of the year and that's why Hackett is in the situation he is in...

I understand your point but:

1) Brien is not a clutch kicker. He missed from 31 last week and he got lucky with another kick that hit the post...

2) Pittsburgh is the toughest place to kick in the NFL. No one has ever made a 50 yarder there. A 41 yarder there isn't the same as it would be somewhere else.

3) He just missed a kick a minute or two before. So he was already shook.

I just think that unless you have a money kicker, you shouldn't depend on him to bail you out. The Jets did a good job moving the ball to get into range. So why not keep the foot on the pedal and either go for the TD or at least make the kick a lot easier...

i think its safe to say that you never played competitive ball....but thats beside the point..my point is...just because one facet of the team wasnt stellar doesnt call for calling them out....you win as a team and lose as a team....the jets overachieved....and if you think the jets were going to win the superbowl with that team..then you need your head examined.....those guys should ALL be congratulated for putting the steelers on their heels and losing by a damn FG in overtime...... pennington doesnt have the arm to light up big or long plays....everybody knows this....thats why they didnt have that advantage working for them to win by a TD as opposed to a FG..... hackett did well with Vinny Testarvarde when Keyshawn J. was with the team.... so, stop making excuses....the team lost as a team..... enough said !!
