finally something other than boring baseball to look foward to.

draft lottery (the right to draft crosby), draft, free agent signings all coming up in the nest few weeks.

AND.................. football training camps right around the corner

serious though im glad as a life time fan , bUt hey screwed up and completely lost the casual viewer for life
Hockey is the 5th sport in america and only the die hards will return

nascar prob has the biggest following...

but i am happy to see hockey comeback...i didnt think i would miss it as in a previous post i posted "who cares"...but i have been watching rangers classic games on msg and i do realize i miss the game...cant wait to see super mario next season

How will the Rangers get anyone to play for them now that they have a salary cap and can't over-spend for washed-up stiffs????

i think nascar and golf have both, probably passed up hockey.

i think hockey reached its highest level when gretzky and lemiuex were playing and both were close to their prime.
what those 2 were able to do on the ice on any given night was amazing.

i think the NHL is banking on a lot of young "superstars" to pan out. guys like kovalchuk, ovechkin, crosby (i'll insert malkin as a homer pick) Nash etc. to bring them up to that level again
