considering the health problems associated with the red sox starting staff arroyo was a valuable commodity

but then again, considering the health problems associated with trot.....

we'll see what happens. willymo has a heck of a lot more potential then arroyo but where is he gonna play everyday like he needs to to develop?

however, he might turn into the steal david ortiz did

116 K's in 311 AB in '05. He would easily break the record for strikeouts if he were an everyday player.

And Juan Gonzalez hasn't had a productive season in the last 5 years.

oh and he batted .250 last year (.270 at home and .230 on the road)

What is good is he is 24 hit 19 (26 the year before) homeruns, and hopefully can learn something from manny or big papi. He hit .290 against southpaws so he can platoon with trot.

this is is alittle late for me to respond but i agree a platoon would obv. work best. trot belongs nowehere near the field against lefties. willymo is clearly the superior hitter against lefthanders.

also, he's hit something like 47 hr's in his last 650 ABs and even David Ortizsaid he probably has the best overall power swing in the game. even better than his own.

arroyo was stuck at thebottom of the rotation and it was only a matter of time before palpebon replaced him.

i wouldnt say horrible....a few iffs maybe about health. other then that, everyone can pitch (with the exception of clement who will have dead arm again by the break)

funny thing is, arroyo is cincinnati's #2 guy. that team sucks so bad
