Current situation with the Red Sox

Why hasn't there been any mention of Jon Lester's cancer yet? From what I hear he's almost definitely not pitching next year and people in the organization (rumor) are pretty much going on the assumption that he's done in mlb. I hope he gets healthy though.

Let's assume Lester is out of the picture, what are Boston's plans for next year? Do they sign Zito and keep Papelbon in the bullpen with MDC and Hansen? Or do they move him into the rotation and see if Hansen can close?

And what's up with Papelbon? Is it really just a "fatigued shoulder" or worse?

I've never in my life seen so many injuries on a team.

I love the way the Yankees look right now. AROD is hitting again. Cano needs another 90 bats or so to qualify for the batting title. Lidle is pitching well. Moose is back. Matsui is coming back and hopefully he can get it going again as the DH.

It's sick how many options Torre has everyday with that lineup.

I believe Sheffy should be returning soon too - starting some minor league work..
