DETROIT (AP) -- Alex Rodriguez insists that he won't be thinking about his past failures on Saturday.

He might be the only one.

A-Rod added to his growing legacy as a postseason flop Friday by going 0-for-3 in New York's 6-0 Game 3 loss to the Detroit Tigers. The loss puts the Yankees on the brink of another stunning first-round defeat.

"There's tension in this clubhouse," Rodriguez said. "We've worked too hard this year to go home like this."

Rodriguez hasn't lived up to his $252 million contract in the clutch. He's 1-for-11 in the first three games of the best-of-five series, hasn't driven in a run in 11 playoff games dating to 2004 and is batting .116 (5-for-43) in his last 12 postseason games.

It's also equally funny how you can talk so much shit when your own supposed team is on the verge of collapse and being swept. I guess it matters more to you that the Yankees are losing than the Padres actually winning a game.

Really? That's cool. However I can't see how someone can cheer for so many teams in the same sport. I cheer for one team, call me a crazy but I thought the epitome of a real fan was loyalty.
