i only watched the first and half of the final game myself....

the NBA is questioning its declining TV ratings for the finals....i really doubt it has to do with the teams so much as it does with the fact that no one wants to sit throught two months plus of playoffs and watch a final for a winter sport in the middle of june when baseball season is midway

i watched about 5 minutes total of the 4 games.

NBA needs to find a way to get the better teams to the final. clearly, while having detroit-san antonio would've produce equally anemic ratings, that series would've at least gone 6, but the pistins choked.

in retrospect, the final was essentially the spurs-suns series in the 2nd rd in the west. having the mavs or suns in the final against the spurs would've brought more people in.
