I still don't think they can handle the best of the west in a 7 game series, but clearly they can compete for a finals berth in the (l)eastern conference. That is provided the big 3 can stay healthy for a lot of the season...

Detroit? really? With or without Webber? The celtics right now are better then then them although I believe it will take a year for the team to mesh together. I could see them losing if the finals this year and winning it next year or something like that. If you do not think veterens will take less money to come here to play with these guys you are nuts. If they get a dale davis and breverin night they will be fine. Scalabrine now becomes a good player because he does not have to play the big minutes he has had to in the past. When he is the 8th guy he is effective, when he starts not so much.
