heathab Posted January 18 Report Share Posted January 18 I was actually at Venu for the past 2 Thursdays. The music is excellent but its not what I would call 'hard house'. I heard Nailz play a hard set at Vision on New Years morning and it blew me away but its not exactly the same thing he plays at Venu on Thursday's. Whalen, the resident from Pulse, is known for his hard, 'rough around the edges', deep, after-hours style of music. IMO there is a difference between that and the acapella, vocal, progressive style of Venu Thursday's. He plays a lot of hard stuff too but not a full set of it. AND if there are other 'hard house' nights in Boston on Thursday's then they might want to invest in a new promoting team because the only events I ever hear about are Venu, Hush, Paradise and now Absolute.
