ravegirl9
Oragnized raves in Toronto have been banned on both public and private property (for the time being). Spearheaded by the Mayor's Committee, they have been deemed too much of a liability for the City of Toronto in terms of drug use and underage illegal activity. Although this is the most serious damper I have seen occur in any party city, it is most detrimental for Toronto b/c most of what we consider to be suburbs of any American city are still boroughs of the city of Toront, so even say, The Ontario Science Centre can't be used as a venue anymore. The thing is though, there are a lot of loopholes in the ordinace b/c whoever was on the Mayor's committee didn't give partiers credit for being coniving . Anyway, it's just a sad, sad thing....but TO is resilient ------------------
