4 posts in this topic

Some of my friends want to go to this club in Brooklyn for New Years. I have never been out in Brooklyn before...what is the scene like there?

I'm from brooklyn, and bay ridge has a great bar scene, but the place blue zoo that you refer to is NOT a club, it is the blue zoo lounge. Cool scene, but it's a lounge, not a club, so it's not that big in size. Great for a typical friday or saturday night out in the neighborhood but I wouldn't want to spend new year's eve in a neighborhood bar. I don't know what the blue zoo lounge is doing for new year's eve, but they always have a dj, problem is there's no space for a dance floor. If you really want to do brooklyn for new year's eve you should look into what the clubs in bay ridge are doing. Mostly bars there, but there are a few clubs. Forewarning: mostly guido crowd in clubs like Legacy and Gazebo, can't stand those clubs, but love the bars in bay ridge. But hey if you like hanging out with lots of guidos then check out what those 2 clubs have going on for new year's eve. I'll be going to the city for new year's, don't want to be in the same bars I go to all year long, but if you've never been here then it might be cool for u.

For me NYE is amature nite in the city, You get everyone that can't go out all year long except for TGE, due to no ID checking!

Brooklyn's not that bad, If you go to Legacy with a small crew you should be fine!
