Firewalls

i have windows 2000 proffesional, how do i shut my firewalls off...i installed a cable modem to my computer through a router thingamajig...it says it has a firewall installed for protection...

Go to Control Panel and then click on network connections. Select the connection you use to connect to the internet and then click on Properties. The go to Advanced and it should be the first option on top. If you still have a question just look for me on AIM.....MartyMixtape

so let me get this straight

you have a cablemodem connected to a router which inturn has firewall software on it.

why would you want to get rid of your firewall?

Yeah I think so.. like you're permanently able to access the internet and AIM.. unless you shut your computer off of course..

I hate firewalls though when I'm trying to get a file from someone via AIM.. :mad:

mane, because now more than half the songs i queue on ag says firewall...which in turn means i'm not able to dl them which fuckin sucks oh and nycmuzik that doesn't work...
