click here since im too lazy to redo my list. thats my tops from last year. as for mixing em, its a major struggle until you get the hang of it, and even then its difficult. unlike house trance etc. they dont follow the same beat structure, so you have to mix on the "highs" instead of the "lows." that and if you dont get it right when u first push off, its harder to correct in mid mix than house is. so thats why you'll only get a 2-3 hour set out of a breaks dj. its much more strenuous. not to mention there isnt normally a building process in a set, you kinda just come on and slam it.

:::HIT THE BREAKS!:::

An Exploration of Breakbeat Culture

::Special Guests::

LIQUID TODD - 92.3 K-Rock - Solid State

Solid State was the first show in New York, Boston and, most recently, in Cincinnati to broadcast techno and breakbeats to the commercial airwaves. Solid State has been heard on K-Rock for over seven years now. During that time we have turned thousands of new fans on to new music while setting the standard for electronic mixshows in the USA and around the world.

Artists like Fatboy Slim, the Chemical Brothers, the Crystal Method, Orbital, Afrika Bambaataa, Rennie Pilgrem, Paul Oakenfold, Go Home Productions, Portishead, Sasha & Digweed, Adam Freeland, Underworld, Moby, DJ Reset, Frankie Bones, Dave Ralph, Freq Nasty, the Prodigy and many more have graced the Solid State decks along with countless local artists. More than any other show, our listeners tell us, they hear about future superstars first on Solid State. Be sure to check out Liquid Todd at his first appearance at Hit The Breaks!
