  1. perhaps we can use the fees we are charging americans to get out of harms way in Lebanon, too fund a peace keeping force.
  2. technologically advanced military wise, means you we eventually weaken the enemy, not necessarily crush them... the war on terror is a never ending war... the US posed actions, if this war expands could have far reaching consequences beyond Lebanon. "saying Hezbollah must lay down their arms" as one of the conditions for a cease fire, basically means your stalling for time. as all parties know, hezbollah will never lay down their arms. the Lebanese army is not capable of controlling the border, so it's obvious an international force will have to do so.
  3. it's my belief that Israel can't completely dismantle hezbollah; which is why they are hesitating sending in ground forces. at best they can weaken them, and push them away from the border. hezbollah is but one part, of a rather complex network of terrorists operating in the middle east.IMO hezbollah needs to return the israel soldiers, and someone needs to control that border to prevent hezbollah from firing rockets into israel. this war is costing the lives of two many innocent people. the US needs to stop playing petty politics, act like a real leader, and take control of the situation.
  4. israel knows putting in ground forces will lead to higher fatalities for israel. their air strikes are not stopping rockets, from being fired at will into israel . it's rather obvious hezbollah is not going to lay their arms down anytime soon. in addition there are lebanese who believe hezbollah is defending lebanon against Israel. this in itself could prove to be a major problem, for israel should they decide to send ground forces into lebanon. Bush says Syria is not doing enough to stabilize the region, but neither is he.
  5. frank, the rules are applied arbitrarily, and should not be… it's rather unfortunate, but that's just the nature of the beast. when it comes to how calls are made, and how we as fans judge them. objectivity becomes rather subjective, based on your alliance. I'm quite sure the nature of this debate would be quite different, if the cards where flipped. ultimately, the best one can do is just suck it up and play...
  6. Shaq's size makes it ridiculously difficult to officiate him… Shaq travels more then a frequent flyer, shoves rebounders out of the way, etc. . . . the only time that Shaq doesn't foul first IMO, is when he gets the ball right under the basket. it's understandable that NBA ref's are reluctant ,to call fouls against star players. Stakehouse’s foul in the general scheme of how this series has been officiated, is nothing worthy of full game suspension.. it's really that simple...
  7. "an elbow in the low post that happened to hit stackhouse", and I need to learn basketball. LMAO
  8. you get suspended for hard fouls. maybe the NBA should have players hug each other after they foul... LMAO guess the NBA forgot when Shaq hard fouled Stackhouse in Game 1, causing him to get stitches..
  9. perhaps you should go back, and read my post... as a point of information I never stated nor predicted "The Heat would fall to Detroit in 6." what I did say is the Pistons would win, obviously I was wrong. . further I said previously "regardless of who eventually comes out of the east. IMO the eventual NBA champions will be the Sun's or the Mav's, both teams look sharper then the Heat and Pistons."thus based on that statement, I maintain that eventual NBA Champions will be the Mav’s... so deal with it! .
  10. don't see Miami beating Dallas. Dallas has more consistent shooters and a more reliable bench. not to mention Dallas has home court advantage. IMO Miami goes down 4-2 to Dallas.
  11. oh please!!! if he is not on the floor, whining about how he is guarded; he is hurt. drama! drama! guess this makes this game more appealing to heat fans... great PR!
  12. regardless of who eventually comes out of the east. IMO the eventual NBA champions will be the Sun's or the Mav's, both teams look sharper then the Heat and Pistons.
  13. "sheed"is a good player when he wants to be, and brings a lot of energy. He doesn’t cry anymore then Shaq does when, he gets called for his rather obvious fouls. it's time to stop hating, stfu, and play ball!
  14. basketball is a team sport, someone forgot to tell the rest of the cavaliers that.
